I like Ryobi tools. Got quite a few and plan on getting more in the future. I want the bigger saw, jig saw and a few other things as well.

I was disappointed to find out that Ryobi discontinued the 5 1/2" 18v saw. I (and my old body) love it's considerably lighter weight. I did find one of the remaining 5 1/2" saws from a vendor on eBay (who turned out to be an Amazon Fulfilled vendor advertising on eBay, may he roast) that I bought as a spare while I still could get one. It's the latest model that has a few more features than my antique. I'm going to use the new one on wood and keep an old carbide blade in the old one to use for cutting sheet metal.

The 6 1/2" saw doesn't make much sense since it's only 3/4" smaller than the 7 1/4" saw and hardly weighs any less. I have been drooling over the 36v (uses two 18v batteries) 10" miter saw, though, but I'm holding off until I have a project I really need it for. Ryobi keeps inproving their 18v tools (while keeping them compatible with the older batteries) so it's usually better to wait until one needs a specific tool instead of buying right away and letting it set for a year or more before using it. You just have to watch that they don't discontinue a good one, like they did the 5 1/2" circular saw.

I've had a custom countdown timer on my phone home screen for this :D

If you didnt buy the PS4 pro within about an hour of it launching online it sold out. Stores also had a limited selection available (how I got mine) but even that was sold out in about four hours.

Tl;dr complaining about Collection variety

Spoiler

What I'm personally upset about is THERES SO MANY DIFFERENT BUNDLES and theres nowhere I can just get everything in one collection without having eight different copies of KH3 at the end of it. If you didnt pre order the PS4 Pro you dont get the PS4 theme for your main menu, if you dont pre order from gamestop you dont get a special in game keyblade or a poster, Amazon has their own special version of pre order keyblade, theres a keyblade you get for beating some of their Mobile Game Challenges, etc. Some of it I didnt care about like the keyblades since while they DO have in game bonuses to them, they're relatively small (either theyre skins for existing keyblades or theyre new keyblades entirely I'm not sure) and wont be "end game" weapons. I also really hate the PS4 theme isnt coming with in game music. It FORTUNATELY has the KH menu sounds which is really what i care about, but I have Call of Duty themes that change icons, have music AND have menu sounds, so its all possible. I've even seen youtube posts where the designers of the theme even made a song specific to the theme to avoid copy rights and they didnt go with it. I technically am receiving two copies of KH3 with the PS4 bundle AND the collectors edition bundle but I'm giving one to my sister as a late Christmas present.

Funny because it's PowerCore 2 Elite. PowerCore 2 is a different product. I officially have a product that doesn't seem to exist.

Bought this to add some sound isolation to my HAF912. I don't have any real way to determine if it works or not, but it feels audibly quieter to me. Could be just a placebo effect though, I dunno. I've posted a review with a picture of the final result on Amazon, but it hasn't been published yet.

My short review:
The material itself stretch a little when applying, so don't cut "to size", I suggest cutting a size larger and then cut off the excess when it's applied with an exacto knife, that way you can get a clean looking result(unlike my first attempt...). The glue used on it STICKS very much(As long as the surface you're applying it to is clean and dry). It ain't cheap glue that will come undone within 5 minutes, prepare some 99% alcohol to help remove any excess or a lot of rubbing.

It's a cheap sort of foam that would be easily damaged if you rub or scratch it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then I've also bought a Steam game, My Time At Portia, which is kind of a Rune Factory/Stardew Valley game. But it doesn't have a huge emphasis of farming from what I've played so far. (17.9 hours in)

And yesterday I bought some other stuff on Amazon, but will wait until it gets here.

Finally opened them tonight...yeah 2 months later lol man these things sound great, tons of ADJUSTABLE bass to add in via the iPhone app. I have to get used to the control buttons on the right ear cup for track up and down and volume but it's nice to have those handy without having to go to the phone. Also the noice cancelling is a nice touch. Somewhat high end headphones for a reasonable price. And yeah I know Sony well, I own a pair of MDR-1R headphones.

I've had problems using Acronis. Try Macrium Reflect Free. It, and the paid versions, have worked well for me.

Picked up some more toys tools today. These are a few hundred #12 x 1" screws to replace the rusted and failing #10 screws holding the aluminum siding onto my mobile home. This has been a sort of ongoing project--anytime I peel back the siding to route cables, I replace the rusty screws I removed with larger ones--but I need to get my rear in gear and get serious with the project.

In the same order, I got these little jewels, a couple of T-levels.

When I installed the outlet in my broom closet for the hanger/charger for my 18v Ryobi stick broom, I needed an easier way to cut the hole in the paneling due to the tight quarters (narrow closet + wide broad = nightmare). While looking for info on templates to guide a rotary cutter, I stumbled upon this Youtube video for making a jig to use with a multitool saw blade. I made an oak block for a single gang box and it made making the hole in those tight quarters a breeze. I just eyeballed block's position since the outlet's buried at the back of the closet but, for future use, I wanted to install a level on the guide block so I wouldn't have to juggle a separate level, the block, the screws, and my impact driver. This shows how it will be installed on the guide block.

Actually, when I get around to screwing it down, I'll rotate it 90 degrees. When I used the guide block, I put some double stick tape on the back of the block so I could position it one handed, then drove in the screws.

Here, I've made a place to store the block in the case with the rest of my multitool goodies.

How rude; the image rotated. I also poked some screws (two plus two spares) to hold it to the wall while cutting. There is room should I ever need to add a double gang block. To use, I'll but a small piece of double stick tape on the back of the block, postion the block at the right height on the wall, screw in the top screw, align the bubble, screw in the last screw, then go to town with the multitool.

I finally got my security torx bit set. I also picked up a set of 1/4" hex to square drive adapters (1/4", 3/8", and 1/2") so I can use regular sockets with my impact driver and a 3/8" drill chuck to use with the impact driver.  Here they are already stashed in my impact driver bit case.

The drill chuck was a semi-impulse buy. I had been debating on whether to get one or not so, when I saw it, I snagged it.

One potential problem I had when installing the outlet in the back of the broom closet was having to use my impact driver and a couple of long extensions to run in the hex head screws into the thin paneling. I was careful and managed not to strip the screw holes but it would have been less nerve wracking to have driven them manually. So, while I was waddling my errands today, I found a hand driver that uses 1/4" hex bits.

It comes with seven long bits, six stored in the handle, but I can use even longer bits in it, like this...

...or I can use extensions, with various bits, to get even more reach (I used the long Philips bit in this shot since it wqs right there).

My old, arthritic hands are going to appreciate that nice, fat, easy to grip handle.

Here is another semi-impulse buy I made today. I've been needing a non-contact voltage detector for some time (like, all my life) for when using my DVOM is a bit awkward (as in usually) so, when I spotted this little darling, I glommed onto it.

It's pretty sweet. It can detect AC voltages down to 12v and up to 1000V (when will I ever see 1000v AC?) and has two flashlights: a weak but adequate one in the front and a better one in the rear.

And with that, I need to heat up some Ramen soup since that is all I'll be able to afford for a while (the big bite in my budget was at the pharmacy for my prescriptions and a few other things I was out of). I still need to hit Lowes (poor Lowes) for some more flush LED ceiling lights (I need more lighting in my living room/workshop and some spares since it looks like they are being discontinued) but that will keep until tomorrow or Monday. Right now, I'm beat!

One has to be proactive, not reactive, to ensure the safety of one's data so backup your data! And RAID is NOT a backup!
