After a long hiatus, I'd broken down and bought a pair of can that I'd been eyeing for a long time....Enigma Acoustics Dharma D1000. It's an unusual can in that it incorporates both a dynamic and an estat drivers. I'd been waiting patiently for one to show up in the Garage section of the local audio forum. It uses the same plugs as my Sennheiser HD800, so I can use the 4 pin Balanced XLR cable I'd gotten the HD800 for it as well.

oh wow, that is one special headphone. I am guessing the estat driver handles the treble and the dynamic handles the bass and mids, is this correct?

Their design reminds me of AKG :)

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Yep, similar to the K340 with the use of an electret driver (for high frequency) and a dynamic driver in each cup. I've been waiting and scouring the local forums for one to show up so when it did, I pounced on it like ants to sugar. I got it for a good price of 660USD, which equals to a bit of savings for me IF I were to snag a new one.

The can is in very good shape, almost brand new as I'd chatted with the seller, he'd used it from time to time, rotating it with his other high end cans. It came in its own nice box with full accessory (meaning just the cable). It's a well-made can with lotsa metal parts (no plastic!) and the build feels.....premium and solid.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

Just got myself a watch I'd been thinking of getting for quite a while now, wasn't cheap but I'm such a fan of its simple lines, curves and design. I love the Jubilee strap...

This means I'd not be able to buy any more headphones....but well worth it for me as I've always loved my Rolex Date.

Honestly wanted to shoot for a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 550 watt unit but whatever, getting an EVGA G3 550 instead.

Also getting a stock cooler RX 580, I really like the look of it.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!
