Well, the last thing I bought was a 00pt Stanley Philips screwdriver. not that exciting xD 

 

Something exciting though: I've always had ads up in my local classifieds asking for old computers to tinker with. So, today, this american expat from further in my street sent me a message on facebook telling me she had:

 

A 2007 24" Imac

A 2010 13" MacBook Air

 

So, excited as I was, I walked out of my door and walked to her house. Lovely woman, and while I was packing the MBA in my backpack and she was preparing me the Imac, she said

 

"let me look for something in a closet. I think I have an old dell you can have."

So, 5 minutes later she gave me this actually pretty new Latitude E6320. Shortly after I went home with all my stuff, we lived like 2 minutes apart so I could bear the Imac in my arms.

 

So now I have a perfectly working 2007 imac, 2010 MBA, and a Latitude E6320. which I later on found out, has an SSD in it!

 

If anyone wants to look up the Dell, it's express service code 6047838073 and service tag 2S0Q5Q1. I'm so happy! i got all this shit for free!

I got tired of waiting for custom RX 480's to show up; and while searching found a shop in Germany were selling their Fury X's at €420.

Around €80 more than my 480 preorder was for when I placed it begining of July.

She was a tight fit, but she'll do me well until big Vega and Full Fat Pascal arrive hopefully.

Order two pairs of Beyerdynamic replacement earpads for my DT990 and DT770 on the 18th of July, only just received it from a delivery guy about two hours ago. Man, talk about late delivery!

Took them out and immediately replaced the old pads with news ones.....but kinda tired now, will take some time off during the weekends to try out these badass cans with the new pads.

Just an Edimax USB N150 wireless adapter so I can connect my iBook G3 to my wireless network without needing to risk my entire network. Don't really need to picture it, since it's pretty tiny and if you've seen a nano USB WiFi adapter before you've seen them all.

 

It's also a bit overkill, considering how the machine is from 2002 and only has USB 1.1 ports, which are s l o w, but hey. I can connect to a WPA2 network with that old thing now.

My order of a 4pin Balanced XLR cable for my HEK arrived today, nothing fancy, just a well-made and decent quality replacement cable for the stock HEK ones, this one is softer and quite pliant, so me likes....

I must be cursed, lately one part after another is failing. It seems one they reach that same mark they just give up. My H110I started going this weekend, with the pump dying. Looks like some particle got inside the pump chamber somehow. On my desktop the CPU was idling in the 80's and the Pump temp was at high 70's, while sounding like a damn blender.

So time to go back to reliable old air cooling, and I'm replacing my Hot Box NZXT H440 as well with this lovely thing.

Sadly my new Noctua NH D15S and extra fan haven't arrived yet, but at lest the pets seem to like the Enthoo Luxe.

I'm just worried where I'll be able to mount my Fury X rad now, since I don't want it interfering with the Noctua
