Gift for a friend who recently decided to get rid of his scraggly, unkempt beard to regrow it properly.

You need to see my pics I just posted in the show yourself thread.

This thing:

2580zt3.jpg

Now I'm no expert and is still running some tests but this thing is trying to spit out more internet than we currently have lol. Did a few tests vs cable and got 80/36 (wireless) and 78/36 (cable) within margin of error. Sucks that our 100/40 NBN has on and off peaks though, but there will always be someone slower than me so cant really complain! Over all I'm a happy camper. I even get a signal two floors down lol.

Gonna test it out again when its off peak.......then again I might be playing during that time so fcuk it!

A while back I got a pair of Sandisk 8 Gb micro SD cards for under £3 each. Still havnt used them but needed them in case I need to make more boot media for anything other than windows. I have a USB SD card reader that fits normal size SD cards, or micro cards in an adaptor and it works just like a USB disk.

Ah yes, used/junk/scrap stuff is always fun...

Hmmmm...I still feel like I should have grabbed a boxed seasonic PSU for $2 (or should I say 200 yen as I'm still in Japan) but it was $2 and could I really risk a system with it? :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Go back and buy it, test it with a crappy computer and if it works you have a dirt cheap Seasonic PSU.

Well the major problem I had was I couldn't find out whether it's a 100-240V PSU or a 100V only PSU...If it's a 120V only then useless for meh cause Britain is 230V...ish

It will probably say on the label, if not you can google the model. For $2, i'd buy it either way.

Ah well, too lazy to take another trip down there anyway :P. Not like I don't have 2 spare PSUs lying around at home anyway...(okay, one of them is a cheaptastic EVGA w1 430W but it can power a 7950 mining fine so...not too bad...)
