I have been wanting to sure up my network around the house, with about 20 devices connected if not more at times to wifi across 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz networks, our poor TP-link D7 cops a hammering. I have changed the router to optimize for the best channels on both bands.

So I picked up 2 x kits of these D-Link AV2 2000 Gigabit Powerlines. We don't own our house so powerline is all I got for better connectivity. In the future in my own place ill get a 24 port switch and wire the whole house, a mate of mine is a sparky so a case of beer (in his case probably protein powder haha) and ill be good

465643-d-link-powerline-av2-2000-gigabit

I also picked up 2 of the TP-Link 5 port gigabit switches (cheapest ones), nothing special but they work perfectly.

TL-SG1005D_un_V1_150_68_normal_1.00_2015

Further picked up 2 x 2M Cat6e cables, 1 x 5m Cat6e cables, and 3 x Cat6es with 2 x Cat5e (both of those cat5e's came with the powerline adaptors).

Attached a powerline at the router, my desk, my room and one to the satelite television.

put a switch in the room to mediapc/NASpc, PS4 & a further cable to my laptop (when im in there)

put the other to the desk attached to my build rig, gaming rig and RPi2.

Seeing speed improvements from 4mb/s while on wifi (close to router) to up to 58Mb/s on the powerline from 2 i7 based PC's... the dual core media/Nas PC still see's lower with maybe around 9Mb/s weirdly (potentially CPU bottleneck???)

Holy moses... that is one expensive, yet dam fine case you'll have to do system pics for sure.

Personally, i would one of those phase change cases, which are about that price.

For sure there will be a build log for this build :D, its going to be a massive build with loads of watercooling flowing through it. I know what you mean, I was debating between a Caselabs STH10, Parvum L1.0, Hexgear R80 or a Little Devil LD PC-V8. For size i was comparing the Little Devil LD PC-V8 and the STH10 together, in the end since this build is about sections and dividing everything, the STH10 seamed to fit what I want to do better. I will get my chance though to do a build in everyone of these case at some point :)

I know the HDMI port is dead on my old ps3, but I wanna give it a second chance by doing this.  If not, one of my other PlayStation consoles is getting this.

I love Sony for this one reason, because I had to use the cable that came with my PS1 on my PS3 and it worked lol

Why not get a component cable? :o PS3 with composite is ... really bad.

Because on some ps3 models the hdmi port is bad, and that might be their case.  Also, the originals have a really bad/faulty GPU.   Either my GPU in my original PS3 is dead, or it just needs a composite cable aka why I got one for free.

The component cable doesn't use the HDMI port, it uses the same port as the composite cable, but the quality of video is much better (composite only is 480p IIRC while component can go up to 1080i or maybe even 1080p)

It's been a while since I bought it, but it is my latest purchase. I had the original LG Optimus G, and it was crap. Honestly, the G4 is also bloated to pieces, and still lags behind in games. Battery is awesome though, the original Optimus G could take 12 hours of average use, this one plows through the day even on heavy usage. Android 6.0 has way better battery optimisation, I used to have it drain up to 10% after locking it down (background apps closed even), now it barely sips power when I sleep.

Honestly, since I got it for £300, I would easily have done it again. The leather feels premium, now all I need is a wireless charger and a wireless charge sticker on the back of the cover. The phone is very ergonomic and feels small for a 5.5" phone, doesn't feel bigger than my old 4.7" Optimus G

Would also be nice to play around with Cyanogenmod, but I'm afraid it would take away some camera features of this phone, as well as I have no knowledge of rooting and swapping OS on a phone

Ya, but the component/composite cables' port don't have the issue.  The HDMI one does.  Ya, HDMI has a better quality, but they fixed the issue with the PS3 slims and super slims that the original models had with ports and GPUs.

Yeah that port doesn't have the issue, according to you, so that was why I recommended component cables/asked why you didn't get those :P Way better quality visuals and the PS3 supports that fully (not all PS2 games work with component I think and PS1 doesn't work with it at all I think)

But anyways, taking this thread way off topic now so I'll stop it.

Didn't take a picture but I bought some alcohol for the first time in almost a decade.

Because I have an insatiable sweet tooth and needed the amazeness of peach schnapps in my juice and lemonade. Nom nom nom.

And also Im not really meant to have alcohol with my prescription meds, but three shots of the stuff I got is only 1.2 units which won't do any harm and is the most I'd need in a day.

It's Tom Green's movie, and it's a really messed up R-rated comedy.  I don't think I'm allowed to say why it's called that.
