Picked up a 2011 model iMac Mini today from my work as Police were tendering off some of their old equipment.

$40 AUD for a core i5 2.5ghz model with 256gb SSD and 500gb 5400rpm drive, 8gb RAM.

Possibly going to pick up a couple more with a faulty HDD for even less (about $20 a piece).

Potential money maker considering they go for around 400-600 on auction on ebay! :)

Scrapyard Build Total Cost: $268AUD

C2Q E8200 | 4 x 1gb DDR2 | GA-EP45-DS3 r1 | Gammax 200 | 320gb 2.5" | 7870LE PCS | Litepower 500w | CISCO Aironet 350

Haha no mate its just a model kit but it does look like a Asus graphics card box, minus the black and red. It is a beastly box though plus the contents is more than half the size of my monitor.

Anyways "5/0" is the size of a paintbrush, the higher the number the smaller it is. You see I'm a modeller/GK (garage kit) painter. One of my many fun hobbies. I may not be any good but who cares. I don't usually paint robots though mostly statues/figurines this thing just looked cool so it was an impulse buy and it kinda reminded me of my childhood playing games with my brother. Its called "White Glint" one of the robots in the Armoured Core Series.

3 days in and its almost done! Just need to paint a few things black, attach the fuel lines to the "Overed Booster" (the rocket on its back) then apply a clear coat over it with my airbrush. Its already been filed, panel lined and decaled.

Made a mistake on two of the decals though put them upside-down lol by the time I figured it out I've already applied micro set on it to burn those decals in. However It does look kinda alright just check the booster on its back!

Finally got a HDD caddy so that i can put a HDD in my macbook pro. The final step will be to pick up a 256 GB SSD to replace the 120GB on, a 1TB (or maybe 2TB) to replace the 500GB that i just threw in there and to double the RAM to 16GB. Feels so nice to actually have space on this thing. 120GB really is not enough.

Thats gonna be hard depending on what your looking for. Is it a GK, PVC or nendroid? AFAIK there are only Shinobus' with frowns on their faces but those are GKs or sold out PVC. Might even be Japan only lol!

Friend of mine has that exact same white glint kit. Shipping on that thing was a really cunt because of the size of the box.

Tell me about it. For me price on the thing was 8330 yen and shipping to NSW was 4700 yen! Anyways it all depends on where you buy.
