I bought parts for my new system!

I got a prime x470 pro on ebay for £80, a ryzen 5 2600 for £73, an 8gb stick of crucial ballistix sport lt 3000mhz cl15 on prime day for £29, and a 250gb 860 evo for £28. Pretty sweet prices I think! Just waiting on the tx650m i bought to arrive and waiting on some deals on a case and gpu!

The left channel in my amplifier died, so here's a new one:

It's a Cambridge Audio Topaz SR20. Nothing too fancy, but I needed something ASAP, and it was cheap and available.

Cambridge Audio can also go fuck themselves in regards to suggesting me buying their overpriced cables. Not gonna fall for that one.

IMG_2135.thumb.JPG.01e0b4bb2ea7f2acfcf6e5356246730e.JPG

Also got a JVC TD-V562 cassette deck, since I need to record some tapes sooner rather then later. The Sansui deck as therefore been moved to the living room and this recorder has moved into the studio.

It also wouldn't be a consumeristic update without some music:

IMG_2136.thumb.JPG.2f3a191af8d5b1a746093c6086e7ef09.JPG

Left to right, top to bottom:

The Underside of Power by Algeirs, Minecraft Volume Alpha by C418, You Won't Get What You Want by Daughters, Offerings of Anguish by Valac, Hollowed Cadaver by Anatomia, Twilight Eternal by Dawn of Orion, Visits from the Night Pt. 1 & 2 by the Projectionist, Blod Bevæger Tidens Hjul by Jordslået and Wolven Degrade by the Black Sorcery.

As usual, it's a lot of black metal with a single death metal cassingle thrown in for variety.

The Algeirs album sounds amazing on vinyl. The mastering is completly different from the CD version. This kind of gospel/R&B/hard rock really benefit from some dynamic range.

Is there anyone who went on Safari? Is it worth the money?

I was on a safari maybe a decade ago. I would say it was worth the money, but I stayed at a friend's ranch in Namibia. So, I didn't have to pay for lodging, food or a guide.

But I had a really good time driving and camping on the Savanna. I also visited a national park a couple of times, since wild elephants wasn't too common in the area and I really wanted to see elephants.

  • Minecraft Volume Alpha by C418.
  • Offerings of Anguish by Valac, Hollowed Cadaver by Anatomia and Twilight Eternal by Dawn of Orion.
  • Visits From the Nighthag pt. 2 by the Projectionist.
  • Wolven Degrade by the Black Sorcery.

To continue my tradition of unintelligiblity:

IMG_20190724_194947.thumb.jpg.1a9e05eb89839f73ababf5f098dc2c79.jpg

Y'all know how it goes:

The Approaching Roar by Altarage, Demo '87 / Rehearsal' 88 by Goatlord, Death and the Beyond by Denial of God, Black Bombs by Slægt, Nekro by K.F.R., Who's Next by the Who, and Terrible Certainty and Coma of Souls by Kreator.

A bit of death, a bit of black, a bit of thrash and a pinch of classic rock.

Needed a tower heatsink, this looked interesting. I have an 1150 back plate already, figured why not? Probably not the quietest thing ever but I bet it works pretty well.

Also scored a Seasonic 350W Bronze until for $17 shipped the other day.

Currently sniping some RAM,cheap 8GB.

Novels are too long...too much filler and not enough cohesion.

I should read more novellas. I very much enjoy reading...it's just that novels are too long and too much excess verbiage.

I love long books.

Reading is visual for me.

I see the world I'm reading about.

Hey, another biker!

Thanks, it was the best bang for the buck in my area.

I wanted to buy from a local shop.

First time with disc brakes.

My previous bike is a Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo bought in 2001.

It was stolen four times. I use now it when I need to leave my bike locked.

Transferred over the handlebars to the Giant, can't stand straight bars. They hurt.

I ordered a case and screen protector for the iPhone XS Max I'm switching to next week. I know the new ones are out pretty soon but I got a great price on the XS max and the 11 max wont be worth an extra €4-500.
