I think I bought something that I wasnt supposed to....

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F21RGT9/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

20181002_191952.thumb.jpg.4a9a44874752166d48250f492d3384d1.jpg

You'll note that the product is "currently unavailable" but it was available the day I bought it, Sept 30th..... It also had no photos or really good info so I was taking a shot in the dark and came out with a golden sample, but then they removed the ability to buy it at all? Hopefully the approve my review, because I uploaded a buttload of photos. Super happy with my $17 purchase. It's called the Anchor Pro (It's not even on the parent company's website, ElevationLabs)

Elevation Labs got totally hosed by Chinese knockoffs and Amazon. They pulled all their stuff from Amazon months ago. It's likely not from them.

Well either way I got something no one else has, and that feels cool. It also ccame with a lot of packaging saying how they're from Portland Oregon so maybe this is just leftover inventory from Amazon?

[I have destroyed another of your photos. Fear me.]

Perhaps. They told me if it came from anyone other than them (but fulfilled by Amazon) it was a knockoff.

Funny anecdote, the seller actually lives 3 street down from me, I messaged him this morning and he was available in the afternoon, I finish work at 1PM, so we agreed to meet at the subway station nearest to his house ... After some back and forth we realized we live on the same street, just a few blocks from each other!! XD

So coming back from work I stopped by his house, then drove the remaining 30 seconds back home!! :P

I got myself a 4G modem.

After years of problems with various ISP's due to old wiring within my apartment building and having no success with trying to get anyone to commit to fixing the problem i finally just cancelled my home broadband connection and went totally wireless.  Previously i was with IINET, i paid $59.95 for 500gig of data but it was so slow that i'd barely be able to even use up 500 gig in a month unless i left torrents running 24/7 or something, the new plan im on is with Optus and i only get 200gig of data, its also $60 a month but its super fast by Australian standards (30-40mbps).

Was that home broadband connection with or without the NBN?

Without, there's a solid connection running up to the front of my apartment building but no matter what ISP i went with they were all bottlenecked by the wiring within the apartment building, to get to my apartment on the top floor the wires travel through multiple floors and apartments so i was never able to get anyone interested in fixing the problem, different owners, tenants and the body corp, nobody wanted to take on the issue.

I like to tinker with old computers, and the more unusual the better (rare all-in-ones, Cobalt Qubes, etc) so today I'm picking up an HP TouchSmart PC IQ700 with a corrupted video.

Turns out the corrupted video is a common (and repairable) issue, and yeah it's old, but I really like AIO systems, just to see what oddball OS I can put on and have it recognize all the hardware.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Love my pencil, charges real quick as well.

Great apps to use with it: Notability & Procreate

I still think it’s not worth the $100 but if I disregard the price, it’s a damn good stylus. I notice that my handwriting with the Apple Pencil almost look exactly the same when I write using pen and paper

Shame you only get 200 gigs for how much you pay. I find myself pretty constrained with similar speeds even though ol' Cumscam has a 1TB cap on us. ?
