Unfortunately that is the space I have available at the moment. But next month will move somewhere bigger and will have enough space for a decent desk to hold the "almighty" :)

Bought the secondary battery for my Elitebook 8470P, and a Probook 6460B as well as a ThinkPad T410.

The 100Wh secondary battery on my Elitebook is literally the best. I now get through an entire day of uni, plus the 2 hours there and back on one charge

Nice. Since my brother got me an SNES Classic for Christmas my Raspberry Pi is now my PS1 / MAME machine. It makes a pretty awesome PS1, especially since you can clean up the graphics a lot. So awesome for old school PSX RPGs.

Netgate SG-1000 pfSense router, with the optional mounting bracket.

My current D-link router is running on the “latest” firmware … which is from 2010. I figured it was time to replace it.

I have a 4-port switch to attach to this router, but I already have 4 cables plugged into it and will need an extra port if I want to add a wireless access point.  So I'll need to get a bigger switch ... and the access point itself.

I’ll get those sometime next week. For now I’m watching Mark Furneaux’ videos on pfSense to get an idea what I’ve gotten myself into.

Went to a couple flea markets this week and last week and picked up some stuff.

Week 1:

Spoiler

large.Purchase1.jpg.6d2fb7777e5b85c6c49a

Working PSP, just a battery that doesn't have any life remaining. Some games and PSP movies too, nothing very interesting. Two GameBoy Colors, one of which worked just fine and the other needed a repair which I somewhat detailed here:

I bought almost all the Pokemon cards I could find at the flea markets (except for the unreasonably priced ones) and it's unfortunately quite bare what you can get nowadays.. :(

Week 2:

Spoiler

large.5aef6101bc42d_Purchase2.jpg.13dbf6

Some Pokemon cards and two DS Lite systems with chargers. Buttons on both are in awesome shape, touchscreens are alright, the pink one is in alright condition all things considered, but the white one was quite disgusting (as if someone spilled a sugar-y liquid in it) and the top screen has some dead pixels:

Spoiler

large.5aef60feacd90_Purchase2DS.jpg.85b1

But in the process of taking it apart, I unfortunately damaged the touchscreen connected, which will likely mean the touchscreen won't work anymore.. So I'm considered making it a GBA Macro: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/game-boy-macro-unofficial-ds-mod.1171569/

Since the buttons still work great, the shape is nice (IMO) and it has  nice backlit screen (unlike the AGS-001 GBA's I have) it will make for a good GBA system.

First off, once up in BIOS....turn the light show off.

This be the case it going into.  Big plans for this case, very big plans.  Still need to round up some more parts for this build.

I bought it directly from Netgate themselves.   Total with the options I chose was $158, which translated to €129 ... and another €30 in taxes and Customs fees.

https://store.netgate.com/SG-1000.aspx

Seeing as it is intended as a router and hardware firewall, I would only put it inside your case if your PC is the only machine on your network.  Ideally you'd put this in front of your switch.

Well, my goal is the top of the case to be my network hosting area: switch, router, and firewall.  Right side be my main swiss army style rig and left side be my monster storage/VM rig with cooling housed in the bottom and main case area.

Kind of basing the build off my experience with my Guard unit's mobile mutli server setup.  Just, a bit less mobile.  :P
