First PC build... How does it look?

JeyPee12

CPU Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core $69.99

CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing $32.21

Motherboard ASRock Z97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 $82.95

Memory Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 $49.99

Storage Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid $79.99

Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB WINDFORCE $139.99

Case Enermax ECA3253-BW ATX Mid Tower $29.99

Power Supply EVGA 430W ATX12V / EPS12V $29.99

Optical Drive Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer $14.99

Mainly for gaming... I don't care if I can't max out the graphics except for WoW, I play mainly World Of Warcraft and may start CoD once I get this. I currently have a GT 740m running WoW on high settings at 1080p so I'm pretty such a GTX 750 Ti with a good OC is gonna handle WoW on Ultra.. I do plan on eventually pushing the CPU, once I get more money would a Corsair H80 or something similar be enough for at least 4.65ish GHz?

I'll also be putting at least 2-3 more fans in the case if I see fit.

Not bad for a first PC build. If you decide to upgrade the video card in the future, you'd have to upgrade the power supply as well. Just a thought

I would invest in a hybrid drive, they have great performance for the price. Also I would go for an AMD VGA at that price point. You could spend a little more an get an R9 270. Check out the specs in my sig, I'm using the same CPU.

I would rather take an AMD card to a Pentium, check out Sapphire radeons 260X and 265.

This is pretty much my budget, and I kinda looked for the new build thing but couldn't find it. My apologies. The HDD is hybrid, and I was thinking of a R7 260x... But the GTX 750 Ti is probably what i'm going to get because it's power efficient and apparently very OC'able.

And the Pentium G3258 is happening also, due to the overclocking headroom and because it's dirt cheap and can compare to i5's for gaming. I'm not a content creator so I wouldn't benefit from extra cores or hyper threading.

Wow.. .How come I couldn't see all that. Having an SSD would be nice... I'm just not sure if I'd go with the V300 I could do without a SSD, and wait for the next gens and hopefully Price/GB goes down.

Oh I thought your title meant "how does my overall build rig look?" and I thought there'd be pics. Oh well. I see you want to overclock your pentium, so I hope you are experienced or you study overclocking before you try it. Grab an R9 270 instead and you don't need that 1866MHz RAM Go for 1600MHz. Choose a better case than that Enermax poop:

Why would I pay more for 1600MHz? And the power efficiency and heat output is a factor I need to consider, that's why I want to go with the GTX 750 Ti. I'll be upgrading probably next gen GPU's.

just to point out the MHz on ram does do that much for gaming. but in ramdisk or Dimmdrive it can help but the low the cas latency the better for Dimmdrive and Ramdisk

Yeah I understand that... I just like the higher numbers!

Normally, I would suggest 2x4GB 1600 ram like others have, but the one TC pick is on sale right now for $50
