Which one should I get?

mearsy101

Hi, so I am stuck on what kind of headset I should get for my gaming PC I have found two that I like the Sennheiser HD 449 and the Sennheiser HD 518. I like the HD 449 because of the pleather feel, but on the other hand I like the sound qualityfrom the HD 518. But my main question is which one do you think I should get or are there any other/better ones that I should have a look at.

Any help at all would very much appreciated.

518 has bloated, muddy bass but is great elsewere. I've tried the 449 and they are good but not great. I'd try to get the 558 but it's probably out of your budget. Have you looked at other products from Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic and AKG?

I personally think there are better options for closed in that price than the HD449 but the HD518 is pretty good. I think the question you should be asking yourself is do you want open or closed headphones because those 2 are pretty different.

The 558 are in my price rage (my price rage up to $150) just did not know about them, only thing I would like would be if they did not have the felt ear muffs so then dust won't get stuck to them. But I did find the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x I like them they look nice.

I have had both closed headphone and opened and really ether one does not bother me.

Um well for open I usually recommend Beyerdynamic DT990 or AKG K612 and closed either DT770, Shure 440 with 840 pads, or Sony MDR7506. A cheaper option for closed would be CHC Silverados.
