Intel 730 Or Samsung 850 Pro?

OneManWolfPack5

Yeah but there is one problem.

Anandtech and Toms hardware are making money on reviewing Samsung newest drives, Samsung don't send them a random drive they test which drive is best. But yeah they make great reviews.

Do you know a review where they compare 840 evo vs 850 pro vs Intel 730

Thats also what happens with CPU's (if that even happens with SSDs).

In toms hardware review they do for sure. Their tests are also fully replicable if you have the software and hardware as they go through it pretty scientifically.

Since you were right last night and my benchmarks sucked somehow for my Samsung Evo 840 Raid0, I decided to run the benchmark today again, same settings but instead of Windows7 64 I ran the benchmark this time on Win 8.1 64.

It does make in random write a tremendous difference, unbelievable!

Sequential Read :   980.741 MB/s

Sequential Write :   825.780 MB/s

Random Read 512KB :   806.463 MB/s

Random Write 512KB :   802.047 MB/s

Random Read 4KB (QD=1) :    38.332 MB/s [  9358.4 IOPS]

Random Write 4KB (QD=1) :   110.802 MB/s [ 27051.2 IOPS]

Random Read 4KB (QD=32) :   598.496 MB/s [146117.2 IOPS]

Random Write 4KB (QD=32) :   199.308 MB/s [ 48659.2 IOPS]

 OS : Windows 8.1  [6.3 Build 9600] (x64)

I will definetly buy the 256GB Samsung 850 Pro and test this... but I came to think about your advice to buy something like M.2... I am in lack of expirience with this kind of SSD, is it so much faster? I can´t be faster than a Raid0 can it?
