Wtf do you need all that RAM for? Both your PC and laptop, and your planned future system for that matter.. I would say they both have unessecarily amounts of RAM, unless you have some kind of need for that amount of RAM..

Ehm, anyways. Medium CPU, medium GPU, and.. well, a lot of weird RAM. I'¨ll give it a 7/10.

I need the ram for certain things I do. I use photoshop a fair amount and work on 5GB PSDs sometimes. I also do a lot of sound stuff incase that was not obvious.

*cough* Smattering of ratings, not as many builds to rate.

Let me fix that oversight.

i7-5820k @ 4.2ghz (*sigh* I know about the overclock, but it is happy @ 4.2 while I am travelling.)

Corsair H60

MSI X99S SLI Plus ATX

Crucial 16GB DDR4-2133

MSI GeForce GTX 970 Twin Frozr V

Raidmax Viper GX

Sandisk SSD 128GB (System) + Seagate Barracuda 3TB

LG 25UM56-P 25" (2560x1080) + Asus VH238H 23" (1920x1080)

EVGA 1000W 80+ Gold ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

So yep! The power user's (non-maxed) tool.

Thanks for your rating!

So I am assuming that in order for you to give a full 10 on the CPU it needs to have at least 18 cores, and be clocked around 6ghz?

*5960x. (I'm not saying your CPU sucks, it's an amazing CPU, but since that in that socket there are better CPUs (even if 5930k is not that better, but on paper it is), here is my rating for CPUs:

Pentium: 6

i3: 6.5

i5 4440: 7.2

i5 4690/k: 7.5

i7 4770/90/k:8

5820k: 8.5

5930k:9

5960X: 10

FX4300:6

FX6300:6.5

FX8350:6.7

FX 9590: 6.8

That is for on paper specs. For example the i5 4440 and 4690 are GREAT CPUs, but if you put all CPUs in one list the votes will get lower obv.

Oh believe me I know about that situation. The rating he gave was perfect, but I couldn't help the sarcasm seeping through.

Btw you can't imagine the wince I had when I saw that the 5930k was +$200 for the extra 12 lanes. o.0 Thusly, 5820k is my way.
