Alright GPU and the SSD is a bit small (if you compare it to the prices now), but very very good build. 8/10

My budget build (I tried not to spend alot on this but still have it be pretty powerful, will upgrade in the future.):

CPU: FX-6300 @ 4.0 GHz (still on stock, getting a better cooler soon)

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P (something like that)

RAM: 8 GB Kingston HyperX Fury @ 1866Mhz

HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda

GPU: ASUS R9 270 @ 1050Mhz (OC'd it to around 270X performance, may be getting a GTX 970 Soon)

PSU: 600w EVGA 80+ Bronze

MONITOR: IBM G96 CRT Montor from the late 1990's or so. Still kicking and it looks great. Its a higher end CRT montior, uses SVGA (pretty much the same as analog DVI)  Instead of VGA.

Above rating:

10/10 Overkill as hell. Why a 1000 watt PSU? Those arent AMD GPU's you are using. You could probably be fine with a 800 or 900 watt.

Thanks   this is my build in progress right now, and i really hate windows 8 lol i never got too used to it and now with windows 10 right around the corner i'd rather not learn 8 since 10 is windows 7 UI with windows 8 features. And What do you use your PC for ? and I'll rate it if you want me to, bare in mind I'm a newbie with custom computer builds :P

It's quite funny, a couple weeks ago, I installed Windows 7 to diagnose an issue with my sound card, and found that the lack of a taskbar on the second monitor really killed my workflow and I couldn't find an alternative to the taskbar on secondary displays that worked just as well as the one in Windows 8, so now I'm back on Windows 8.

I primarily use my PC for school related stuff as well as gaming (mostly league of legends). I'm thinking of upgrading my cpu/mobo in the future since those 2 are about 5 years old now lol.

I can't say nothing bad about Windows 8 It's just the fact that I never put much time/effort into learning how it works. I'm used to regular windows since it's basically the same as windows 98 which is the first OS i ever used back in the days. And i don't mean exactly the same but i hope you know what i mean xD

I like to be on the bleeding edge- ever since I got into computers maybe 5-6 years ago, I would be running the latest betas- Win7 beta, Win8 developer and consumer previews, iOS 6, 7, 8 betas. Now, I'm not as enthusiastic as I used to be about running the latest software though. I have the Win10 preview on my hard drive but since hard drives are so slow compared to ssd's I haven't touched it since I've installed it LOL.

Tried it. Like most of the task bar software, it doesn't show your pinned apps. The contextual menus were bad as well.

Rate my laptop and then Yivo please :)

Laptop: 5/10 at least there is a more powerful graphics, can't do much on that anyway, but it's still better than Intel's IGP.

Yivo: 7/10, everyone wants the G3258 because it's unlock for OC, in reality you have to OC to a insane amount to see any benefits. Don't know why so many people praise this CPU like it's the must have. A Core i3 would be a better choice. If your budget allows it then probably a Core i5. No need for future heatsinks.

Dream: Maybe your deam machine might slightly come true, what is your budget? :)

Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 @ 3.5GHz 6C:12T / CM212 Evo / Asus X99 Deluxe / 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 3000 Trident-Z / Samsung 850 Pro 256GB / Intel 335 240GB / WD Red 2 & 3TB / Antec 850w / RTX 2070 / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy X360 15: Intel Core i5 8250U @ 1.6GHz 4C:8T / 8GB DDR4 / Intel UHD620 + Nvidia GeForce MX150 4GB / Intel 120GB SSD / Win10 Pro x64

I'm not looking to change Yivo now, it's too late. My mum has started giving the list out etc. to relatives. And also, the laptop iGPU is honestly terrible, 1080p output looks dreadful.

What does your mum giving the list out has anything to do with your build? It's not even Christmas yet. There might be a chance you can get your dream machine or that is not possible? Well probably not the specs you want, but still a X99 build.

About your Yivo, what to upgrade? If your going for SkyLake, you will need a whole new board and new ram as Sky Lake is actually socket 1151 and runs on DDR4.

There will be 4 SkyLake variants, only SkyLake-S will use a LGA socket. the rest are embedded using BGA.

Well, my relatives and my Mum have already started buying things probably, and they don't know about my dream build :P Also, I thought there's going to be one more generation of LGA1150, they can't do a whole new chipset for a refresh in which the only change is the way that the heat dissipates.
