Nice gaming rig,I personally would bump that 8GB of RAM to 12GB but I do a lot of 3D work. 8.5/10 for me.

Intel i7 2600k 3.4GHz, 16GB corsair Vengeance, MSI Z77A-GD65 MOBO, MSI Radeon 7870 Hawk, Corsair TX750 PSU, Corsair H100i, Phantom 410,Samsung 250GB Pro  Seagate barracuda 1T.

i'll be working towards a nicer gpu when the games i play utilize my card to the max, the most demanding game i've played so far is gta5 and even then it runs smooth for me.

might save up and spoil myself with the 390x later on. but for now 215$ for a card that will last me a long while is more than fine for me :^) ty for the rate

12/10 simply for the case choice. Here's my upcoming (verySoon™) build:

cpu: Intel core i7 4790K (I probably will bite this bullet after comparing real-world benchmarks with the 4690K, dat 7-zip compression though. Don't tell me you backup your Dogecoin blockchain app data (that's now 12.4GB, mind you) with *anything* other than the following 7zip options: LZMA2, maximum level, 256MB dictionary size, 256 word size, solid block size, and max # of threads. And you say that the only thing that matters is "video rendering?" #lelelelelelel)

mobo: Asus Sabertooth z87 #superCheap #5YearWarranty

ram: 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3-1866 9-10-9-27 #decentCL #alsoCheap

gpu: XFX R9 280 3GB OC'd 1.2Ghz core 1.6 Ghz memory #lifetimeWarranty
case: Cooler Master ATCS 840 #black

storage: Samsung 840 pro 128GB and (probably will buy) Toshiba 5TB 7200RPM internal HDD #$140

cooling: Corsair H60 in push-pull with 2 Corsair SP120 HP intakes #mightNeedToUpgradeToAnH100iFor$90

mouse: Anker Gaming 4000DPI multi-color #yolo #logitech$70MiceOrThis

keyboard: Rosewill RK-9100 #blueSwitches #nowIReallyWantBrownsSadFace

Everything's cool, except the CPU. Personally I wouldn't get a 4300, although it might be enough for the 7770 :)

I'd say it's 6/10, pretty great entry level PC. Would build something similar for someone who wants to stop being a console p****** for a good price :)

Also how's that mixed RAM setup working for you?

Seems like a good budget conscious build overall. I would say 8/10 for the PC, but just a couple of things seemed odd to me. I am assuming you bought your ssd awhile back as they are a lot cheaper now, and I am also confused why your GTX 970 cost so much. I would also say it'd be nice to see a higher quality/ fancier power supply, but that doesn't really fall into the spirit of what it looks like you wanted to accomplish. For a powerful, versatile rig on a budget, these seem like some good components.

@Danonymous I do regret the PSU decision a bit, a few more bucks wouldn't have hurt that much.

As of the prices, It's purchased from Bulgaria, so.. yes. Everything that seems like a normal price was purchased with a HUGE discount.

A Mac? -6/10 Kappa

Sounds cool. A bit old (but you know yourself too, so wont go into that)

The GPU looks cool, but 'only' has 256MB.

Overall, was probably cool when it came out but now feels kinda old :)

(no offence meant to be taken, my PC is not that up to date anymore too)

6/10 ;)

EDIT: my PC in my signature.

3/10

Dat reasoning though.. i r8 ur r8ing 8/8 m8.

Your setup gets like a 7.5/10. I like the CPU, the GPU is also very good :)

Just don't really like the sub 256GB SSD. I personally prefer them above 120GB, so you can install more on it.

EDIT: I would love to see 2 monitors, instead of one :) even though your current one is 144Hz.

I actually have 2 monitors, although the second is an old 32inch 720p TV so... well it wasn't worth mentioning.
