Yes, every year (well, until recently anyway) a group does a "zombie walk" through town and lots of people join in, some really great outfits and/or imagination.

Using film seemed like a natural extension of this. The following pics don't count towards this thread, just showing off some of them from times past:

(The first one is also expired film, no post work done, what you see in these pics if what I shot)

Amazing sky, great color. Boats in focus. I'm super anal though and I can tell the horizon is slightly askew.

A terrible picture taken with a cheap 2013 Panasonic point-n-shoot with... basically no controls at all. I just like it for some reason.

The tags say f/3.9, 1/8 sec, ISO 800.

Can't tell how I feel about it. Maybe the DOF is a little shallow, and I kind of wish it was zoomed out more to show at least the bottom of the badge and a little more black on the left. It's certainly not bad, but it doesn't stir anything up inside me.

Another terrible picture with dramatic lighting from my old point and shoot. Should probably get an actual camera at some point. I'm stuck bumming off my buddy when/if he invites me out.

Yeah, I understand. It was from when I was first learning photography. The Alfa (RIP) was in a junk yard and I was afraid of getting too much in the shot

"The single most important part of a camera, is the twelve inches behind it." Ansel Adams.

While on sunsets, where I am doesn't really get dramatic skies, especially at sunset.

From my old Nikon D1x, 35mm lens at f/8, ISO 125.

I haven't really studied Ansel Adams, but I'm pretty sure he didn't do the kind of weird photography with DOF like I want to do. Digital cameras also didn't exist, so he at least had control over film ISO, shutter speed, and lenses.

Going through my folders with old pictures from that camera, it does a really fantastic job of obliterating any sense of depth for landscapes and having no control over exposure means something is basically always blown out or under exposed. It did do fantastically well at action shots though.

You didn't critique my picture, but I bet if you get the proper cloud coverage you'd get more visual interest in the sky. But as it stands the boats seem to be in focus, the cranes in the background and the coast along the horizon add some visual interest, and color is generally good. The older sail boats are cool. Nice framing.

Here's my own silhouette shot with my buddy's D810, which I guarantee I couldn't do with my old point and shoot.

My bad, I sort of did with my Ansel Adams quote, yes the PnS leaves a bit to be desired as far as sharpness, but for a PnS it's fine. I'm in the middle of house renovations so I'm a bit scatterbrained, but did you ever mention which camera model it is?
