Such a crispy shot, only thing I would try to fix is the fact that it's not straight across, but also shows it wasn't edited so I don't even know if I would consider that something to fix.

Some random ones from last summer, pretty much the last time I actually used my camera.

I shoot everything on a Panasonic GH4 with Lumix 12-35mm f2.8 II, everything is shoot at f2.8 but I don't remember the other settings I was using, it was a clear sunny day though so the photo's are heavy edited to give them a darker moody vibe, I can't find the RAWs to look at the EXIF, only the edited JPEG's I have as my wallpapers for the lockscreen and desktop lol

At what time of day did you shoot them? The white balance seems to be off, these shots seem pretty warm to me.

The composition on the first shot could have been a bit wider and if you follow the rule of thirds it could be more dramatic. As it is it seems a bit boring.

The second one has a much better composition but the flower isn't in focus.

I took some shots of soap films while self isolating. Here's one of them:

Oooh! Nice colours, but maybe a touch on the gearish side for my taste. The pink almost seems a little blown out?

Has there been done a lot of post processing to it?

Well the post processing is pretty much mandatory with shots like that. Given how colorful these shots usually are I wanted all colors to pop but I think I might have overdone it with the pink parts a little :)

Your shot is great. The composition is nice, horizon is straight, sky isn't blown out, that's really cool!

Here's something a little less extreme. I mainly shoot animals and I'm one of the staff photographers of one of the local zoos.

As a volunteer though, it's mainly just a legal thing so they can use my photos. The previous full time photographer was kicked out and replaced by 4 volunteers to save costs on photos. 😅

Nice shot!

The colors are very crisp and distinguishable. If you are zooming in, you can clearly see the detail of the fur. It also isn't heavily pixelated, which makes it easier to zoom on the eyes for example.

Took this picture last year, around this time too. It's one of my favorite pictures. (Note: This was actually taken on my phone!)

The colour out of space. Very impressive!

My shot is taken at Green Bank Radio Telescope, on a Nikon F3 with (IIRC) Kodak Gold 400 film. Shooting there is amazing, but absolutely everything has to be manual, even the motor wind can cause interference so it had to stay behind.

Straight from the camera developing lab to your eyeballs.

looks beautiful. I'm just wanting a tad more detail as it just seems to be missing a little sharpness.

I like the colours a lot, although I'd maybe have cropped in a bit more. It looks like you might have clipped a blade of grass on the focus point, because the grass looks ever so slightly sharper. Maybe also wait for the subject to bounce into the sunlight, those colours will light up brilliantly with a bit of warmth on them.

We had this little guy turn up in the garden last weekend, so I lay down in the grass and waited for a while until he showed his little face to the camera:

its not cropped in at all. I've got plenty of res to do that. I wouldn't be surprised I can't pull focus for shit on a 3in screen so I think I was in auto. I was unfortunately moving to get a better angle the 2 seconds they were in the sun.

got to be adventuresses

maybe a slight faster shutter speed would cut out just a tad of the motion blur. Colors look nice and the focus seems spot on the face.

Slight color grade and lowered the color temp so it wasn't so warm. I wish canon gave all the DSLRs not just some the ability to set color temp manually.

dam that compression looks bad when it gets compressed to show on screen.

I would have waited for the sun to hit the flowers, but that's just me.

I am sorting through old pics of mine, thinning out the collection, and had forgotten about this set. 1st set I shot (IIRC) with my 80-200 f/2.8 lens on my Nikon D2x. If I also recall right, I was testing out the in-camera colour options as well. Found these on the side of a road, shot as found.

That spot never gets any large amount of sun. it is tucked in between 2 building

looks really cool, nice contrast between the in focus and the out of focus one.

I'm really liking my monochrome photos lately, and this has just a hint of warmth to it that draws out the idea of the age of the bones. I might have gone for a slightly smaller apeture just to bring more of the horns into focus, but it's still amazing to see.

took this on my pixel 2XL whilst out dog walking. I just saw a low hanging blossom and likes the contrast between the bright, warm blue sky and the soft pinks of the petals.

I put the edited black and white version in the spoiler below as an extra, I uploaded that one to my instagram as I've been doing a B&W theme of photos recently, but it feels a little too busy in the background for B&W.

I would agree. Monochrome is tricky to do with a cluttered background, but the colour one is great.

I'm missing the sharpness and detail in the petals which I really want. it just feels a little mushy.

Gotta admit that cars and motorcycles always give me trouble, I probably have 250 some odd pictures of my vehicles and maybe 10-15% that are worth showing off.  Yours has that vibe that it's trying to get out from under the cover to go have some fun.

thanks

This picture looks okay small but on my 25in full screen I'm missing the detail I'd expect in the flowers and leaves but that is just down the the res. Comp and color look beautiful though

I have somewhere a fairly cool night photo that caught a tail light tracer like yours but that wasn't the intention, it just kinda added to the shot.  One of these days I may have to try it on purpose because it really does look good.  Was going to comment that your photo might look better with the road surface leveled but I actually like the tilt in the first one when you compare them side/side.

Here is a buddy of mine running in a vintage dirtbike race.
