i5 4690k at 4,1Ghz (uncore ratio 4,1 also) 1,035V perfectly stable. Good or bad chip? Can't go further as I'm on the Intel stock cooler. $$$$$$ problem.

Not exactly overclocking, but undervolting. Is this enough?

Do all the pros here.

MY 5820k was running 4.37 at x35 and 1.3 volts.

i have been decreasing the voltage to 1.215v slowly, and it is still running stable. at this point is there anything i can do to fine tune the OC?

I am using XMP 1: 3000mhz at cal 15

i ran Intel xtreme. the temp went to 67, and is now at idle around 36* in a room that is about 26*.

Basically i want to fine tune it to something stable and useful.post-144833-0-34676300-1429420490_thumb.

Sorry for the delayed response! If you submit it, I'll evaluate it :)

  • 2 weeks later...

i want to make a forked thread for information purely based off of people's specs/setup & what speeds/voltages/temps they've achieved, would that be fine? Or do we want to keep everything in this thread?

I feel like it'd be a good idea, because when I was new to overclocking I wanted to get a reference point of what other people have got and it was really hard to find multiple people in the same thread with the same specs etc.

here's what i put together, feel free to make suggestions

What do you think about this OC? Should I try to decrease voltage? it's adaptive +0.060V with EPU enabled (like -0.015V I think)

x47 multiplier, BCLK 100, 1 hour aida64 cpu+fpu+cache+mem

post-58043-0-32167000-1431786233.png

Update: I had to disable EPU and add extra 0.02V, but it's rock stable now.

Ok, so no shiny Windows screenshots from me... but some equivalent information from my linux-os.

Stress Testing went fine so far. Temps with prime95 maxed out at 52°C, while running a tool called burn on all 6 cores maxed out the temps at 59°C. Both used all 6 Cores...

Is 4.0ghz on a 4690k with only 1.0770V any good?

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Can't you put the database in some sort of thing so you can sort the entries? So you can sort by chip name, forum name, or brand.

I think it would be cool to see it just like an online store where you can sort price high-low etc.

If this is too much effort or too expensive or something I completely understand.

Going over 1.3v is perfectly fine. Your cpu can handle much more than that.

Just try to stay under 1.4v with proper cooling for 24/7 use.
