I'm not a fast one, but probably faster than what I would be on my laptop. (I'm using a Logitech G610 Orion Brown)

The one I did a bit before this one as a bit of a warm up was like 46wpm

I did mine on a membrane keyboard (albeit a laptop membrane keyboard).

Why use random words? It would be a little more realistic if the sentence were coherent, would it not?

Yes and no. Coherent sentences aren't necessarily more accurate -- unless you're transcribing your own words. As such, random words (that you are more familiar with) account for the fact that any sentence would feel uncomfortable for you to type.

Now, of course, if you're typing something up there is also a good chance you're typing up someone else's words....so there's that too.

I average 120-130WPM only real programmers understand. I'm too lazy for mobile typing. I type faster than my phone can load

Thing is I can transcribe someone's speech from audio and paper quite quickly as the "queue" is already set. It would be much more realistic to make a coherent sentence that can be followed and typed out naturally (so to speak).

Imagine in few years from now where audio recognition would develop so fast that MX Blue (non gaming switch) would be redundant when we could just talk fast to a microphone and the machine does it all for us

There are type tests that give you sentences, but they're generally abstract and are far less accurate in representing how quickly I can actually type.

i do have a finger taped really heavily on (unfortunate volleyball injury) that may have interfered a bit, real typing speed for programmers (doesn't include web designers, they're overpaid artists) is around 120 WPM with languages we're familiar with

Dragon Speech Recognition does a phenomenal job at the surgical suite. It gives a good readout of the surgical notes as they're spoken with very few errors (I would say 1 in a thousand words may be incorrect and it is usually the Latin/Greek-derived words).
