About 60-70

Was never shown the proper way to type, so kinda just developed my own technique where my fingers just run all over the place - retarded to most people but works fine for me. I also use Caps Lock instead of shifting....

I'm using a K70 with MX Blue switches.

I'm curious as to finger positioning with everyone else as well. I don't use the home row style of typing, since I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. My left hand defaults to WASD Shift Space and my right hand defaults to some area around JKIL and Enter, but I don't use my right thumb at all.

I tried on my phone and got 43. I'm pretty sure typing on MX browns at home though would rek 43.

Hey guys, was bored and thought it would be interesting to see how I stack up in terms of typing compared to the other users. Use THIS website and take the 1 minute Aesops fables test and post your results as an image :)

Here is mine-

BTW, I'm using a Corsair K70 with Cherry MX Reds.

I personally only do about 35 to 40 WPM. I dont really try to get better at it due to the fact that when having a normal conversation with most people online, that is more then fast enough. Plus, when working in call centers, you can get most info typed down in a persons account for your own personal notes and everything on their account at about that same speed

My speed varies from 80-110 depending on a few factors, like if I'm copying or typing as I go in my head, what I'm copying, etc.

It is over 9000

The edit isn't very good if you ask me. I don't think it's possible to get 9000 words per minute, nor is the placement of the number representative of the edited score.

41WPM to a corrected 9001WPM. Sure.

Not bad, considering I got my Corsair K70 about 2 weeks ago and it's been a little tough to get used to it (MX Browns, first ever mechanical keyboard).

I'm really baffled at how the average on this test is 36 WPM... How can anyone suck that much?

Typed out on the Blackwidow Chroma... with the f***ingly annoying clicky key switches. I've dropped quite a bit over the years, probably by about 20wpm.

My speed.

I don't remember this as my alltime best. I used to type at 650 - 700 keys/min, but I can only manage that as a peak now (I began this test at 140wpm). Sustained speed is dropping off in the past few years a bit (also I've seen easier tests, where the text you need to type, and your actual typed text are closer together), so this is about average for me I suppose.

Typed on a Logitech K400 keyboard.
