i did not warmup, it`s not my mother thunge and i type faster writing myself and not copying :P
im kinda ashamed of my word per minute score :P

I never type fast. So when I do these tests, I get 40.. then 70.. then 100, I usually max out after a few tries around the top end of 110, I'm using a laptop keyboard, and i only type with four fingers, weird right?

 

Anyone else only type with their first two fingers on both hands? (excluding thumb on the space bar)

If anyone is looking for a REAL wpm test. try out TypeRacer. http://play.typeracer.com/

 

Way better than some of the other sites people are using to test their speed. Here you type actual transcripts which is much more natural and using proper punctuation and grammar (unless quoted directly from author)

79 wpm, can't get the image to work >.>

 

It's kinda different just typing out random words from a screen than a sentence from your head though. If I type a sentence already planned out in my head in Finnish (my native language), then I can probably get around 100wpm.

I can't do it, I can't touch type and I seem to read faster than my fingers can move so I am typing the word three words in front of the one its expecting. which leaves me with about 32 WPM and 80%wrong.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

I think that these tests are not the best thing to use.

Yeah its definitely not a reliable test. The best ones are when you have to copy a page from a novel as it has punctuation and capital letters
