Corsair 250D air cooling - fan setup

mapegl

Hi!

So I was wondering how you guys installed your fans in the 250D, what the most effective build is.

CPU temps are not a problem, very cool and quiet.

GPU not really either, but the cooler it runs the quieter it is...

Is there any use in adding 80mm rear fans?

I am trying to find the right setup, here but it is not as easy as I hoped...

....nevermind. I just switched from

front 140 intake, 120 (front) side intake, 12 (rear) side out

to

front 140 intake, both 120s out.

My GPU temp dropped from 82°C to 78°C, which is the difference in noise between "starting to get annoying" and "still pleasent to the ear".

Although I don't need help anymore, just wanted to share my experience incase some has a similar problem...

BECAUSE I found someone online, who actually said this was the best way to set it up and till I got the 290, there was no trouble there.

But yeah, should've figured that out earlier. You're probably right.
