is 1440p really that good?

Tuero

ATM I am using a 1080p monitor at 24", which works out to ~91 PPI. 1440p monitors start at 27" which is ~108 PPI. You get an additional 1.6MM pixels, but its only an increase of around 17PPI. Is the upgrade from 1440p to 1080p that good? I would love to have a 1440p monitor that is 24" as that is the perfect screen size for me, but those seem to not exist.

Yes. I've played in 1440p @ my friends house. I would recommend a 27" or higher though.

The upgrade to 1440p is most noticeable when going from something like 27" 1080p to 27" 1440p. I don't know of any 24" 1440p monitors.

This^^

If you've got a 1080p monitor smaller than approx. 21", then there'd essentially be no difference getting a 27" 1440p except for the size increase. Anything larger than 21" @ 1080p and you will notice a difference; biggest difference being if you have a 27" 1080p monitor.

Yea it's good, but really only if you have the hardware to run it effectively.
