It's a wonderful monitor. All of the colors are vibrant and true to life and it isn't too saturated. The whites are very white, and the blacks are pretty black, but it's not perfect. The monitor's adjustability is excellent and the portrait option is just outstanding.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Forget about the bad memories of the past, take the good ones along with you through the present, and look forwards to the good things that will come in the future.

Will the 8ms response time be a factor? 1080p IPS is really the only requirements and within £230

The U2414H and PA248Q are both good monitors, I think the U2414H has the edge though if the 1920x1200 resolution doesn't matter to you.  The response time won't matter, no.  The U2414H has lower input lag than most monitors including a lot of TN ones, and it uses a bit better panel and anti-glare coating.

Ahh, I've come across this now but can't find any reviews on it, It has the nice office like look I'm going for, stand looks good but no videos or unboxings or anything on YT

Seriously, my statement is getting around this forum like wildfire. ;) Are you no longer on your temporary "vacation" Glenwing?

Not at all. Input lag is ridiculously low, colors are VERY nice, viewing angles on the AH-IPS screen are fantastic... And the bezels look amazing, even with only a single monitor. The stand and build quality is also excellent, as per the usual for Dell.
