Planned build for x99/CPU Watercooling questions

I plan on getting the 760t and I have never custom watercooled and I'm thinking if I'm going to be getting the 5960x like I'm planing to I should probably have efficient enough cooling to overclock it.

Looking to spend roughly $1800 for the MB,CPU,RAM,Watercooling. Also have $300 giftcard to Amazon that will hopefully cover at least 4x4 16gb of ddr4 ram.

I am loving the look of the 760t but am not sure of what water cooling equipment will fit in it and ect. This is just for the CPU right now.

If anyone can help explain to me what is the best kit for the case for compatibility | Price/performace it would be much appriciated also.

Here's a link to some Alphacool 360 rad kits I'm looking at http://www.aquatuning.us/index.php/cat/c1554_3x-120mm-Kits.html

Will be using the majority of my previous builds parts which are

GTX 780 / maybe sli later once I increase funds again

Hardrives - 256 Kingston HyperX for OS. 1 TB samsung 840EVO. Western digital black 2tb

PSU - EVGA supernova 1000 watt

Those are covered.

Thanks!

That's unrealistic at best. The 5960X alone will cost $1000. plus $500+ for the motherboard, $800+ for water-cooling...etc.

CPU: 5930K @ 4.5GHz | GPU: Zotac GTX 980Ti AMP! Extreme edition @ 1503MHz/7400MHz | RAM: 16GB Corsair Dom Plat @ 2667MHz CAS 13 | Motherboard: Asus X99 Sabertooth | Boot Drive: 400GB Intel 750 Series NVMe SSD | PSU: Corsair HX1000i | Monitor: Dell U2713HM 1440p monitor

Hows that unrealistic? I'm guessing that the x99 motherboards will be around the same price as x79 for boards that are reasonabley good (300-450) The watercooling kits are anywere from $190-400 -_- and jaystwocents already recommended the kit costing $300. I'm only watercooling cooling the cpu.

If you're watercooling I don't think there's any difference other than 3 mb cache between the 60x and the 30k, so the latter might be a better option.

I will happily get the 5930k if its 8 core but isnt it a 6 core not an 8 core varient?

We don't know this yet. Supposedly Haswell-E will have 8 cores. Judjing by the 3 CPUs we have currently on x79 (4,6,and 6 cores) I am guessing x99 will be 6,8 and 8 cores. Then again, maybe the X chip only will have 8 cores, we will have to see.

Seems like they changed that with this gen, the 5930K is indeed only 6-core :/.

edit: according to this this and a lot more sites

They're going to be more expensive, so is DDR4.

Well according to this website you will save some money on cpu because theres a minor difference in speed between the 5930k and 5820k. Both with 6 cores, 15mb of l3 cache but the 5820k is $200 cheaper. So you are paying $200 more for 0.2 ghz. The only 8 core cpu is the 5960X which is $1k. I am a newbie just like my profile says so please correct me if im wrong.
