I'd strongly suggest the AOC i2367FH, it may be $20 more than your budget but is a great IPS 1080p monitor. Well that's in AUD though, so if your in the US than it's a mere $150 (saveding $60)!

Well, it does have HDMI, is IPS and you wont feel the 7ms response time if you dont play competitively.

That's difficult. They're both nice. But based popularity alone I would go for the Acer. I'm going for the ASUS PB278Q 27" PLS monitor for my planned build this year because of it's popularity. Because last time I didn't do this I payed for it and realised I should've listened to those many great reviews.

Thanks for your comment. As far as monitors go, I would strongly encourage the OP to stick with/choose one of the IPS monitors, as the one you've suggested, despite it's popularity, is in fact a TN monitor.

Not sure how well it will fit, but I was looking at the Dell S2340M (you can usually find it on sale for around $170), and it looks great. Even gaming it's really nice. Not to mention it's IPS.
