upgrading to SSD from hdd and want to clean install windows

domeshot93

I have a question about upgrading to a SSD.  I have a 1TB HDD now with windows and all of my stuff on it now and I plan on getting a SSD shortly.  When I get the SSD, I would like to do a clean install of windows on it.  Is there any way to do this if I have already installed windows on my currrent HDD?

Thanks

You could just unplug the HDD and then install the OS. Then you could take your important stuff from the HDD and format it.

Yes. If not, you can deactivate the code by contacting Microsoft's support, the key usually binds to the motherboard so changing storage is not going to affect it.
