Go to solution Solved by Andi,

The white sata ports are 6Gb/s the black one are only 3gb/s you have to plug your ssd in one of the first 2 ports. the first 2 are intel, the white ports on the bottom are 6Gb/s too, but they are not intel...so not sooo good.

Okay so i just got my SSD into my system today, i bought some cables for it cause i had non, i hope i bought the right ones, they do say Sata 6gb/s one them so i was thinking that it was alright but just to make sure i get every information on here so you guys can help me the most.

i might also have taken the cable into the wrong one? i have taken some pictures that you can watch below :P

On the 3rd picture is where you can see the cable its the black one going into the black thingy.. ( got no idea )

this is the first time im using this forum :D hope you guys can help me out :P

Edit: Samsung magican also says it cant find the sata interface and that ACHI mode is deativated

SATA 2 Speeds are showing, is it plugged into the Actual Sata 3 ports at all or maybe mistakenly put into a Sata 2 port...

Because if so, thats the issue. Your limiting yourself to 300gbps speeds hence the 250 ish read and write.

Changing it to SATA 3 Port 1, your motherboard manual or google'ing your mobo should help you find the right one.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Oh for sure your gunna love it, while the green drives have my respect, booting Windows off them is a big nono as they park their heads to save power, causing a delay which I'm sure you have noticed,..they have gotten a lot faster in the last year with some of their newer models.

But as far as SSD speeds go, your Sata 3 SSD is one of the best.

Also, if that does not solve it, you may wanna look into partitioning your SSD correctly. I had that issue with mine on my laptop, horrifing speeds...
