R290 crossfire with 750w

I have a TX750M, Would it be enough to power a 290 cf? Otherwise I'll sell my current one and get an EVGA Supernova 1000w I found on sale.

I'd get the EVGA, but I'd also be overclocking those cards as much as possible. They love overclocking. 750w would be a bit tight.

Ive got that exact psu and im thinking of going xfire r9 290 at some point though its pushing it so im going to hopefully get a CM v850 mostly because its more efficient and fully modular so i can custom sleeve

750 watts is still doable but will be very close

750W is close to the limit when you talk about 2x R290X overclocked, A 850W PSU should do the trick

I'd aim for at least a 1000W to comfortably over-clock two R9 290(X) cards, here, TweakTown tested power consumption at 1440p stock, then overclocked, then overclocked with super-sampling.

As you can see, we're pulling 860W with two over-clocked R9 290X's in Crossfire, and that's not a heavy OC.

I find TT's numbers to be... questionable, does that include the monitor or a few big WC pumps? They're quite a bit higher than others I've seen, and much higher than I've seen myself. A friend of mine runs a pair of 290x in CF for 4k, and with a 10% GPU OC and a 4.5GHz 4770k, he's pulling 738w from the wall, measured with a Kill A Watt P4400.
