Entire OS stutters for 1-2 seconds, then it's fine again

Go to solution Solved by jbro1232,

I've noticed something similar to that one mine recently, it's usually when i'm using chrome although i haven't investigated it yet.

I am using Win7hp 64bit and about once or twice a day, my pc freezes for a few seconds and after that resumes back to working fine again.

This happens since about 4 days now , but I haven't changed or installed anything new.

When it happens, video just stops as if I was looking at a screenshot and audio rattles, it is very annoying.

I have installed windows on a new SSD (Samsung 840 120gb) a few months ago and my antivirus doesn't find anything.

What can cause this?

Thanks for reading, i hope you have an idea why this is happening. :)

I use chrome too and I haven't had it happen when gaming at all.. I'll try to switch to firefox and see if that fixes it, thanks :)
