Never had a gaming PC...

Owner of a top of the line 13" MacBook Pro with Retina Display (Dual Boot OS X El Capitan & Win 10):
Core i7-4558U @ 3.2GHz II Intel Iris @ 1200MHz II 1TB Apple/Samsung SSD II 16 GB RAM @ 1600MHz

One of the old Athlons on the K7 socket paired with a 3DFX Voodoo3... in a PCI slot.  Couldn't afford one with an AGP at the time.  :lol:

1Ghz AMD Duron, 128MB SD RAM, 1GB HDD.... which I added 256MB of RAM, a 20GB HDD and a friend's unwanted TNT2 to

 

had it as my only PC from 2001 to 2004

@Tech_Dreamer Judging by what @tmcclelland455 has now, I want to hear what he owned before!

Intel Pentium 3 @ 500MHz, 768MB PC100 RAM (CL2!), and onboard ATI RAGE PRO 3D graphics, I think. It was an HP Pavilion 8490, with the massive and top of the line 19.2GB 5.25" Quantum Bigfoot TS hard drive.

socket 478 celeron something or other, and a PCI Nvidia fx5200. It played star trek armada 2 though, so that was alright.

i7 860 and a GT 210

 

Now its a i7 2700K and a 660Ti. NOt much change on the CPU front, but the GPU is quiet a bit better. Don't plan on upgrading anything for at least another 4-5 years. Maybe a SSD or another hard drive, but that's it. 

Hopefully this stuff lasts that long.

all my systems were used to game and my first one had a pentium 2 with 266Mhz with i obviously overclocked as for graphics card i cant remember the first one i bought my self was geforce fx 5600 back in the day.

Erm... I beleive it was a 500mhz Pentium 3 and a geforce mx400 64mb 

 

We had consoles like the megadrive and atari 2600 before we had a PC

 

One of the first PC games I bought was Age of Empires 2, and I remember getting red alert free with the PC aswell

 

I was 9, so yeah 14 years ago (nearly 15 years ago) :P
