Run NFS Underground 2 in HD

We've been begging EA for a HD remake of the excellent NFS Underground 2 (which is 10 years old now) for a long time. It hasn't happened yet, but thanks to the gaming community we CAN do it. Before you start your game must be patched to 1.2 and it must be a cracked exe.

 

Step 1:

Download UniWS - http://www.wsgf.org/article/universal-widescreen-uniws-patcher

 

Step 2:

Patch your cracked exe - it's as simple as selecting a game from the drop down menu, selecting the game installation folder, set the new screen resolution and clicking patch

 

Step 3:

Launch the game and set the resolution to 640x480. While you're there max out all the other graphical settings.

 

Step 4:

Download the TexMod v2 - http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/47157499/file.html

 

Step 5:

Extract it and run "texmod.exe"

 

Step 6:

Under target application select the Speed2.exe (which should now be patched) and under Package mode click the folder icon button click browse and select the *.tpf that came in the same folder

 

Step 7:

Click Run and wait for the game to launch. Don't worry if you see a black screen for a bit, that's normal.

If they make an Underground 3, I really hope we get a more realistic tuning scene and not this 2Fast2Furious crap where you have to make your ride all gaudy and riced to the max to progress.

But that's what made the old games fun.... all the realistic car physics are boring, I can barely drift on the new NFS games. :(

I loved underground 2.  I also played the first NFS carbon.  Both good games imo.

I love Need For Speed: Pro street, thats my favorite racing game ever. Bought it on Origin, game didnt work, got help from Origin, they couldn't figure out why It wouldn't play, turns out the was shut down so you can't launch it but you can download it.. such a waste of money.

You can have the original game - only the exe has to be cracked. AFAIK that doesn't count as piracy because you already bought the game.

Well, i can't select the resolution for some reason! I selected Find it for me. It did, and I got a message "Found bla bla." But then, what the hell is to be done? I can't understand a thing! 

 

After getting the speed( i use "find it for me"), I get this message "Found! E:\NFS U2\Speed.exe"

I press OK. Then, what the hell should I do?
