Wow thats an high clock :o

My Asus GTX670 DCUII is clocked at 1221Mhz for Core and 6300Mhz for Memory without any changes on the Voltage.

It has nice 66c and only 60% Fan usage :)

I tried to get a higher clock but the games crash at 1240mhz.

It all depends on the load. My card is stable up to 1320 in really demanding games. If it isn't as demanding, it clocks up to 1411. The arctic accelero xtreme 3 goes to 60C with 40% fan :p The heatsink is absolutely massive though, you need something to support your card.

just added my asus 7850 (one in my sig) think i git really really unlucky with my chip. BSOD at anything above 1GHz. might have to try again with upped voltage or something. seems a waste to not try push for a higher clock. seen some people on the forums with 1.25 clocks on the same card

i installed it. and it worked. precision isnt just for nvidia or just for EVGA cards. its an overclocking tool just like you can use sapphire trixx on any card you like

Precision and GPU Tweak is pretty much a different variant of MSI Afterburner. I can use it with my AMD card too.

I overclock my 6670 thats in crossfire with my apu I get some decent performance, Im not A heavy gamer so im not willing to invest in a big build... yet

Here is my Overclock of my 3GB 7970 Vapor-X Ghz-Edition :P

 

 

Voltage is set to 1.3V (Stock is 1.256V) and drops down to 1.256V under load. Compared to the standard 7970 I have +297Mhz on the core, compared to the stock clocks this card is running at its a plus of 222 Mhz ^^ My RAM is pretty bad at Overclocking, but I think its not a huge problem, because RAM I think RAM really does not make that much of a performance Difference ;)

History of the card: This card was ordered on the release day of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 graphics card as a direct replacement of the Asus GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU2 4GB. Currently it is using the reference cooler with a Gigabyte Sticker on the side. I plan on upgrading to watercooled dual 780 quite soon. OC results for 780s on air and watercooled hopefully coming soon. I was quite disappointed when it turned out that reference 780s only come with 3 GB of RAM as opposed to the rumored 5 GB. As I am running at 1440p resolution which just murders GPUs with not enough VRAM, this was a big concern for me. But after Linus did his Benchmarking Videos showing that the 3 GB of memory do not hold the card back even at greater than 1080p resolutions, I decided to go with it. I am still waiting for shadow play to be released, as this is a very big feature that also convinced me as a Let's Player / montageist to get a 780.

 

Overclocking: Initially, I wanted to use the i5 test rig also the 680 and 7970 were tested on (also in the GPU OC DB). But as the Corsair CX500 PSU just could not deliver enough consistent power, I decided to go with my main rig (specs above). With just a few tweaks I could set a core offset of 160 MHz and a memory offset of 500 MHz, while setting temperature and power target to max. GPU Boost 2.0 clocked the card up to 1150 MHz/mV on the core not being stable. So I set the voltage offset to +38 mV which makes the card boost to 1175 MHz (1200 mV) on the core being 24/7 stable. Eventhough the temperature target is set to 94°C (max) the core clock is being throttled when going above 85°C, so I just set the fan speed to 80% fixed.

after that successful run at 902/552 i'm going 912/552 which is the highest i 've ever had on the core.

just tried 922/552 and it died, so i'm trying 922/550 now.

it just crashed again at 922/550 and 922/545. It was the that driver crashed it apparently, so i'm going to a newer beta driver to see if its any better.

i've got the newer driver but it hasn't made it any more stable so 912/552 is the highest scoring combo i think i'm going to get. I'm just going for core clock now and i've put the memory back to 500 which is stock.

my 7970 did the same when I bought it and dropped to 1175/1650. an 7950 tend to be more stable then 7970, due to the lower administrative workload of shader units

I probably have the worst 7950 in the world. It can only do 1000/1350. I keep it at 1000/1250

My 3930K needs 1.44V to be stable at 4.6 GHz. It used to be 1.238V for 4.8 GHz.

 

And the C states have stopped working. Always at 4.6 GHz now.

Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X tested on Battlefield 3 at max settings, at 1280x720. I tested it on the Rock And A Hard Place mission, on a segment of intense action (specifically after you destroy the BMP).

 

Tested both clocks separately. Stock speeds for core and memory clocks are 850 and 1250, respectively.

 

• Core clock is stable at 1100 but becomes unstable at 1110.
• Memory clock is stable at 1520 but becomes unstable at 1530 (1520 if paired with the core clock). It's stable at 1500 when paired with the core clock.

EDIT: After playing Battlefield 3 for a while with these settings, it crashed (specifically when you have to shoot down the plane). I set the core clock to 1050, just 50 MHz below the speed stated above and it's stable now.

 

EDIT #2: I also played Crysis (2007 game, old but very demanding) for about 5 hours and it didn't crash once. I can now confirm 1050 MHz is a stable speed.

the one in yellow?? Yeah, he doesn't have a stress test screenshot, so I don't have a way to validate it, you can't trust the entries in yellow completely
