Ubuntu/Elementary OS freezes after splash screen - I can`t install it

Hi,

I tried dvd and USB, but for some reason Linux freezes when it is starting the Live CD Interface. I also tried the Advanced Install Menu, that didn't work either. 

 

A few years ago (2009) the installation worked. Also Windows 7 can be installed with out a problem.

 

The Installation files are fine, I tested them on another PC.

What program did you use to make the bootables? Some work better than others.

Sorry for answering so late. For the USB Stick I use the software recommended by Ubuntu (Pen Drive). Yesterday I found a Ubuntu 10 DVD, that I made a few years ago. That CD works for some reason.

That should have worked, but since it didn't, try Unetbootin or Universal USB Installer (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/)
