Show your computer audio set up

Stefky

Have looked through the first few pages and can't find a thread like this, apologies to all if it's a repeat.

I've gone micro-sized recently, but this set up sounds great:

Media player - Foobar 2k

DAC - Just Audio uDAC-2496

Amp - Just Audio uHA-120

'Phones = Sennheiser IE800

JA Rig with IE800

I switch off between K612's and HD650's mostly, but I take every opportunity I get to use the speakers.

I'm running an o2 amp and onboard dac on my Maximus VI gene to my Fostex T50RP Mayflower modded V3 headphones, AKG K612 headphones, Berydynamic DT770 modded custom cable (trying to sell), and a Lepai 2020A+ amp to my CEntrance Masterclass 2504 passive speakers. I'll have more room to properly set up my speakers once I'm back home and I'm probably going to grab some speaker stands as well. I recently sold my Audio Technica M50S, V-moda LP Crossfade, Sennheiser PC360. A while ago I had Sony MDR 7506 and Pioneer SE-A1000 which I also sold.

Edit: Also, I have a modmic 4.0 and Beyerdynamic COP coming in the mail.

  • 2 weeks later...

Maybe not computer, but... I got this. Two Yamaha NS-A600 speakers (140 freaking watt ability and 8 ohm impedance), and a Technics SA-AX530 400 watt capable radio reciever (among other things). Then my Technics ST-S77 just sits on top looking pretty (and it's a high end-ish tuner, just not as strong as the SA-AX530's). BTW, I haven't cleaned anything since I got them (speakers are from my mom/stepdad's current boss, SA-AX530 is from the Salvation Army). I've had the ST-S77 for a while. Some of the pictures are from different times, but right now it's sitting next to my computer (like the one picture shows).

Got a sansui AU317 amp 50W RMS per channel and a pair of EPI M50 speakers. I love the amp and these little bookshelf speakers from the 1970's made in New England with real walnut cabinets are AWESOME! I use a fiio D03K dac.

I got myself some Shure SRH440's with 840 pads, Pioneer SE-A1000 with a simpler mod to the headband (also reversible), instead of burning a hole, I just tied a knot. I also have a Sennheiser PC360 headset, Audio-Technica ATH-M50s, CHC Silverado's, JBL J33's and J22a's, but they're not in the picture. Speakers are Phonar Micro 2's, and the amp is a Marantz PM700, but I'm considering switching back to my good old Sony Super Legato something something. Using onboard audio with pass through in the keyboard for most headphones that can run off of onboard. Speakers are connected to Xonar D2X soundcard, and I'd use the sound card for high impedance stuff too if my onboard can't handle it.

I probably shouldn't show my bed with my Nexus 7 on a Lego Technic stand with my ATH-M50's plugged in. Much ghetto for this thread.

I have my TV wired into my tuner, soon to have my computer wired in too. And not to mention I'm using lamp wire as speaker wire for now. Can't wait to get my Monster XP cable today (if Best Buy actually has it).

It's on sale, and it's as cheap as everything else. Besides, my dad has some cheap Insignia stuff that's just a few dollars cheaper, and it sucks. We got some of the monster cable and it's a lot better. Just sound quality.

This for $28? That triple the price you should be paying.
