UOLTT Fleet Census (For future operation planning.)

Hey, fam.

 

I'm creating this poll to help the op' team figure out some of the angles we will be using for operation planning. If you take the time to look at the poll shown above, you'll see what I'm talking about. I want to get a feel for how often you'll be playing as well as what gameplay aspects you'll be mostly engaged in, and not just what you plan on doing in the game. By taking this census you'll be helping us create better operations which will cater to every player type in the fleet. Specially because when we create the operations we really push for them to be as entertaining as possible, but we always feel we may be leaving some fleet-mates out.

 

And keep in mind, we're creating operations but we are not group leaders or fleet leaders. We're regular members just like you.... Unless you're not a regular member. Well, in that case this doesn't apply to you at all so stay away from my poll. *DRUM ROL- This is just a case where the community is driving the fleet forward. High Council does whatever they can to help us all stay organized, but what we do and how we all have fun together is really up to us. It's one of the great features of joining a community like this, having a public forum for us to be creative, work together and in the end take over the Star Citizen universe.

 

Another thing to note is that this poll will also help everyone have a better understanding as to what sort of experiences we may share with each other. Everyone has been so positive and working so well together, but there are certain things where only a fraction of the fleet will be collaborating on. Let's fix that. Since this is all for the fun of it, the team and I want to try to do whatever we can to help bring us all together as often as possible.

 

So, yeah. Please, if you have time, just take the poll over the next week or so. Help us do the best we can for the fleet, please.

Operation Monarch (On Hold)

 

Operation Ocelot (Active)

 

Operation Citadel (Inactive)

 

Operation Dragon (Active)

 

Operation Royal Salute (Finished)

 

And two additional operations which will not be released to the public without strict consent from the High Council.

PVE and Solo flight, this fits my main play style of the happy go lucky hippie dude in the banged out freelancer, However I am available for PVP should the requirement arise hence the 325a in my hanger. I might know which way the guns point.

Due to schedule again I have opted for small scale, short time table, Group gain and Self gain (a dude has to make a living)

lol, thanks. We kind of hit a slow patch with the operations since a lot of our planning relies on DFM, but I'll let the team know. Really appreciate it, Cowboy.

Yo, Basop! Thanks for the input and voting. It really helps us out a ton when we're writing, haha. You should see some of the crap that gets put down and overlooked until final edits.

 

And I totally feel you about DFM. Once that drops, all the old threads are gonna get pushed far, far down the list. Can't wait to start playing with everyone finally.

Really happy that you're excited about them. Other operations won't be posted up until they're in a presentable format. Right now they're just a few Google docs which are literally copy and pastes of our conversations plus a dozen notes and random photos. Some photos are too random, but most of them are helpful.

 

And contribution to the operations is every way possible. Most people have been messaging me when they see news or read about something that has information pertinent to one of the announced operations.

 

Currently we actually have too many people working on the some of the operations, and two of them we're purposely keeping quiet. I'll add you to my LTT friends list and let you know immediately when we start up the next one. Like, Operation Citadel does not have a set group of people yet. So once we begin that, I'll let you know and we can hopefully work together on it. The same actually goes for Operation Monarch. Once this restarts, we'll be definitely looking for more help.

 

And, of course, when the operations are about to go live we'll be asking for a lot of help from the fleet. Though this will be when the game is actually released.

I do plan to take a Jack of All trades role in the game since i find that if i just focus on one thing i will eventually get bored. Though at first i will focus on trading to earn credits to upgrade my other 4 ships for their intended roles. I'm more of If i am available and i got nothing else on my schedule i can play.

It's going to be great to finally talk to all of you. I'm definitely aiming for a hard-core play-style (4+ hours per day, 7 days a week.) I'm really enthusiastic about contributing, seeing as the DFM isn't out yet I'd be more than willing to lend a hand in some of the operations besides Monarch (not much to do on that front) possibly helping out with some of the behinds the scenes planning. I'm very interested in some of the other operations, If there's a way I can aid you in the planning and initiation of those, I'll do so.

Weekend Warrior/Enthusiast - I generally play most weekday nights for maybe an hour or two depending on how tired i am after work and for at least several hours during the weekend depending on how drunk i am.

What sort of gameplay is the most appealing for you?
I voted for PVP and role playing- But i honestly just look forward to playing with Org. mates in any situation, in past MMO games i have always been to late to the party to get to enjoy the guild/ org type of gameplay.  Playing solo generally gets too boring after a while. 

What operation type do you find the most appealing?
Everything interests me.  My character will be mainly a profit by any means necessary type who uses piracy and smuggling along with the more mainstream types of profit generation.  I think an experienced piracy group who will be experienced in ship boarding will be a huge asset to the org. Especially with operations like monarch where boarding and ship disabling will be major parts of the operation.
