Steam voice chat not working

First of all, I apologize for my English. It's bad.

 

As it is said on the title, I can't get steam voice chat to work.

It works when I have no games booted but as I boot the game, my mic mutes.

I can hear my friend talking but my voice doesn't.

 

I think I have done all of my sound and mic settings correct since it works when the game is not booted.

 

I have tested the voice chat only on Portal2 so other games might work. I have to try.

I have a couple of guesses but Im not sure.

 

1. Check other games to see if you have the same problem, also check the sound settings in Portal 2. You might have to disable voice chat in Portal if it has that option..

2. Go to Control Panel-Sound-Communications, then check the box that says "do nothing". Then click apply.

I have the sound communication set to "do nothing"

Also I have disabled the voice chat option in Portal2.

 

I will try on other game as soon as possible.
