This monitor is two expensive for my taste but boy is it sexy!

Imagine a 3 way eyefinity setup with this monitor.  :o A gamers dream come true.

just a estimated guess, since 780/290 class can handle most games at 1440p at ultra settings

Thanks for the help!

For anyone who owns this...

Can you overclock this monitor to 70hz or more? Seems like a great monitor but going from 60hz to 72 or 75hz is a nice little gain and was wondering if you can with this.

Thanks

I've just crunched the numbers and guess what? Currently, at standard 70 cm viewing distance, display is covering 59° of HFOV.

IF display was slightly curved (radius of curvature = 70cm), it would cover 65° of HFOV.

So, increase of 10% in HFOV, just by slightly bending this thing.

Actually, 9.076923076923077% ;)

Sorry, but, unless you're talking about portrait mode, you don't have enough peripheral vision to view three of these simultaneously.

That is pretty boss, the only thing I dont like about the ultra wide monitors is that games that dont support it look horrible with those big black bars :(

also it would make recording gameplay videos for youtube a nightmare

maybe as a second gaming pleasure only display I could get by

EDIT: I wonder how it compares size wise 30" 2560x1600 display

srrssllly, if you have the cash for a monitor like that, please buy another monitor. preferably 28in 4K. not really for you but Im just saying its what I would do, it doesnt appear that you are buying one.

But you can turn your head, which makes it more realistic. I have been in a real simulator before and to be able to turn your head and look in a different direction made it even more realistic. THis is just my personal preference.

It's a nice looking monitor, and it has a lovely quality image, but I would strongly advise against getting one for any substantial amount of gaming. The response time is ok but the input lag is very noticeable. I sent mine back as a result.

Here is a couple of questions:

1) How well can my new rig with twin GTX 780 Ti Kingpin Classified in SLi be able to drive this? I have ordered this already but this was my niggling concern.

2) Will this monitor be able to run my consoles via the HDMI port? It's because I prefer to play my consoles on my monitor not in my living room's big ass tv

3) As per Linus's tip, can you please recommend a good aftermarket monitor stand that'll work with this monitor? I am not going for a multi-monitor setup.

Thanks & Cheers for your replies.

1) Just fine. You should be able to max out most games a 60fps, maybe sometihng like crysis 3 you would run on High not ultra.... but should be fine

2) yes should but it will obviously run at 1080p with black borders at  the sides

3) no idea >< its standard vesa but it defends where you live and what you want to spend

Huge thanks for your reply,

my setup (i7 4770k @ 4.8 Ghz (with the noctua nh-d15 of course :)), 24GB RAM and the aforementioned GPUs which I OCed to 1333 MHz / 7700 MHz (Linus's OC doc :) each) can run Crysis 3 at max with 4x MSAA @1600p res between 65-70 fps avg, so i am guessing with this badboy, I am probably gonna get around 50-55 fps?

2) Cool, can it be enlarged to act like a 32 inch 1080p (A standard model for TVs) screen? so that the black brders are smaller?

3) I am living in Bangladesh atm but I ship my stuff directly from Los Angeles, so can you recommend a model? because I got zero clue about it

No worries

Yeah I would assume something like that, it should run quite nicely

at 16:9 you get equal to a 27" display as shows in the video

I live in the UK so I have no clue about what is available from either country, never pesonally used one, so other than googling one which you can do, I cannot really help

Yeah I am doing that now, but this is quite an enormous monitor that is why my search is a bit muggy. Will the one mentioned below fit this monitor?
