I really liked Forza for drifting but that's an xbox game.

I personally haven't tried it but alot of people recommend Live For Speed. This guy has a full racing setup.

A free to play one is Heat Online, Dirt series has great drifting and you can drift in NFS: Most Wanted as well.

Holy crap that guy is insane!!!

I've been after a drifting game for ages, but arcade style (I'm a terrible driver) if you're not into the whole simulation like Life For Speed etc. I REALLY like Trackmania 2 Canyon atm, Valley is coming out soon too, which I think is more based on Rally, so that should be great as well.

^ I have played that, but I didn't find it that appealing. It takes a lot of time to get up the levels in that game.

live for speed if you're looking for a very realistic, yet rewarding drifting experience. i find it fun even with drifting with a mouse (can't afford a steering wheel and pedals)

another game to look at is racedriver grid. although its sort of arcade, i think codemasters did a good job with the handling physics and made drifting really fun (make sure to turn traction control off)

I always liked drifting in NFS Underground, but in NFS MW(The new one) I love drifting at high speeds! Dirt is also a great game too :)

It depends on what you mean by "best." Live for Speed has some realistic drifting physics, but to get the full experience you need a wheel and pedal setup.

LFS is by far the best option if you want something realistic with a really strong community. Give the demo a go, still a strong drifting community there. Assetto Corsa when it comes out will have a drifting mode, although there isn't a release date as of yet.

As for arcade drifting, never found anything I really enjoy, best is probably the drift events on NFS Underground 1 & 2.

CPU: i5-2500K @ 4.6GHz  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD5-B3 | Graphics Card: Zotac GTX 680 @ 1215/3206/2430MHz/1.162V (314.14) | Memory: 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance LP White 1600MHz  | Hard Drive: Samsung 840 120GB + Intel 520 240GB + Samsung F3 1TB | Optical Drive: Samsung DVDRW+ | Power Supply: Corsair HX 620W | Display: Dell U2312HM (1920x1080) | Sound Card: X-FI Xtreme Music | Operating System: Windows 7 Pro (x64)
