I'm currently watching Steins Gate Zero, Persona 5 and Angels of Death and enjoying them quite a bit. Anyone got any recommendations for me, I have Crunchroll and Funimation premium.

what animes you like? do you like watching blood spilling everywhere like me? do you prefer to watch main characters suffer? i got a list of those

If you don't mind the blood and haven't watched it, go for Drifters.

Holy....just got around to watching Redline and damn.  Really want to watch videos of how they did all that line work and design.  That some sweet animation.

 

Also, found out my PS4 Pro is a piece of crap at running certain files off an USB stick while my Sammy player is a happy bugger to play such files.  ....ugh, if it was not for the exclusives, I sell the blasted thing off by now.

Its a Game Console, what do you expect?

But to be fair, the default Media Player on the other side is no better and also has Problems with certain files. Though it supports styled subs when the PS4 doesn't seem to, it doesn't load certain subtitles...

 

The thing is that you don't even need it and its redundant as my 239€/32 inch Medion TV has an integrated Media Player as well - and that one wors way better than the PS4 one. It even supports NTFS File Systems. 

 

So why even bother with the console and not use the TV media player?

 

Especially if you take the power consumption into account.

Modern Media Players are rated for up to 30W. Less than half of the Consoles in Idle.

Well, compared to my old PS3 which I used as a media box when I had one.  I am a bit off put about it.  Thankfully I did not pay full launch price for the PS4 Pro either.  So, I ain't that upset.  Just kind of seems like Sony did backward steps on the PS4 consoles compare to the older PS3 models.  I even used the PS2 as a media box back when those where out.

 

Plus, I'm aware of the Xbox One models' media player as well as I own one of those too.

 

I don't really use my TV as a media player.  Never much cared for the TV to do that.  O well.  No biggy, the Sammy player does the job.

Not really, the PS3 was a flop early in its lifecycle. It tried to do too much at once. The PS2 was basically dedicated to gaming, and it was one of the best performing (in terms of market sales) if not best performing console to exist.

Welp, those worked good for me as media boxes back then for my use case.  Now, not everyone is looking to use one in that way, but that some of the reasons I bought them back then (not at launch prices though, I never much cared to pay launch prices.  Tend to wait a year before buying a console in its life cycle).

 

I found the PS2 to be useful in the regards for the fact it could play CDs and DVDs.  Meant I could go without extra hardware to play those during that time (plus, that back when I was still young with limited income, so it did its job fairly well for what I wanted from that console).

 

Anyway, not a major biggy.  Just a bit of a con to me.

When the partial (I know its not a complete rip-off hence partial) rip-off of a certain game is slowly becoming more popular than the original...having a Chinese, Japanese and English version really does seem to help its popularity, not to mention how its a phone-based game versus PS vita/browser

Sadly the Anime is only loosely based on the Story of the Manga and doesn't share too much similarity...
