3 x Benq 120hz Screen + Asus - 6970 DCII

Gecko

Ok so I have 2x 24 and 1 27" benq Screens that are 120hz but I am only able to make one 120hz

I have 1 active display port to dual-link dvi and the rest one.

I might anser my own question but do they all have to be active display dual-link dvi connectors

Thanks

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Yes, they have to be Dual-link DVI for it to be able to run at 120Hz.

A single-link DVI connector doesn't have enough bandwidth for 1080p 120Hz.  DisplayPort can only do single link DVI through a passive connection, you need an active cable for dual link DVI through DisplayPort, so yeah you will need the active adapter.

You can do DisplayPort out from your graphics cards to DVI on your monitor, but not the other way around.  It's not clear to me what you're trying to do; all the BenQ 120Hz monitors have DisplayPort input and from what I can see the ASUS 6970 DCII has four DisplayPort outputs so can't you just connect them all with DP?
