I have too many feelings associated with these songs and these two characters in particular. There is way too much context for me to explain why it holds so much meaning for me.

  • In terms of written context:
    • You'd need to know what Touhou is, which already has crazy complex, excessively-rich lore that's mainly inspired by Japanese mythology as well as loosely tied to historical events.
    • You'd need to understand what Touhou's Secret Sealing Club is, what its members' perspectives, goals, and motivations are.
    • You'd need to be familiar with the characters' journeys in the Touhou universe. Almost always, there are constant, subtle references to these adventures whenever these two are brought up.
    • You'd need to be slightly familiar with common fanon speculations/head-canons for the two characters.
  • In terms of musical context:
    • The lyrics. It's more than just a song. It's a conversation and connection between two people. People that were first portrayed as polar opposites of each other in cultures, abilities, and personalities, but that later find a common ground after bonding over their experiences. It's like shared reflection and self-discovery.
    • The musical themes. Touhou songs all take inspiration from ZUN's original songs, of which there are many. The original themes have no lyrics, but each is deliberately titled, has its own story, and is associated with certain characters. Arrange the themes in a certain order, and the song conveys meanings that can't be as elegantly described in words.
  • It's not a song or a universe that's supposed to make logical sense, not supposed to be explained with neat, little, sensible reasons like real life. That is the essence and beauty of Touhou. It questions and tests the boundaries between reality and fantasy.

You could look for it on nyaa or just join some private tracker group and download it. 

 

Crunchyroll is awful at supporting the animation studios and industry in general.

Also, no, the characters pictured in those YouTube videos aren't yukina or みぃ's "anime personas". They're Touhou characters, and they've been used because the songs use Touhou music themes related to those two.
