I do like Blind Guardian. 

I've sung along drunkly to Valhalla on more than one occassion:

They're also one of the few power metal bands where I've enjoyed their later material. Beyond the Red Mirror is a much better album than it has any rights to be.

I still impressed at Blind Guardian's ability to adopt different styles. From the more syntheziser based sound on Somewhere Far Beyond to the more thrashy sound on albums like Follow the Blind. 

My personal favorite is Imaginations from the Other Side: 

Honestly, the entire album might be my favorite power metal album of all time. Pretty much the perfect mixture of grounded and epic.
