What song are you listening to right now.

killers993

It's a state of bliss, you think you're dreaming
It's the happiness inside that you're feeling
It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry

It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry

There is more that meets the eye
I see the soul that is inside

@Volbet  This man is 66 and still screaming like this. o.O

Rob Halford sure is a beast even to this day.

I'm actually seeing Judas Priest and Megadeth on June 10th. Really looking forward to that show.

The new album launches March 8th I'm going to pick it up either digitally or physically.  Can't decide.

If Firepower is going to be anything by Redeemer of Souls, then I be sure to pick it up.

Here's to hoping it won't end up like Nostradamus. That was so mediocre it almost hurt.

But either way I'll probably end up buying a vinyl copy of the album. I'm to much of a completionist to miss out on the album.

Nostradamus was a concept album they tried to pull a "The Wall" and it wasn't great.  This one goes back to 70s/80s priest feel with a hint of Painkiller, and Richie does a great job with the solos to a complete Priest feel.

It also seems like Judas Priest have been influenced by modern power metal, or at least that's what it sounds like on Lightning Strike

But if that's an indication of the direction on the new album then it's alright by me.

It's essentially Painkiller meets Accept's Teutonic Terror.

Man, now I'm reminded of just how good of an album Blood of the Nations was.

^Also, this is a great song right here.  Not the song that got me into Blind Guardian, though.  The song that did that was Theatre of Pain.

I remember being introduced to Blind Guardian at a European festival some years ago.

Apperently the best way to experience power metal is with 50.000 other drunkards joining in on in the world's biggest karaoke session.

Fun fact, Kai Hansen from Helloween, Gamma Ray, and Unisonic sang on the original version.

 The higher vocals are him.

Intersting, I did not know that.

I guess the incestuous relationship between a lot of the German power metal bands stretches back quite far.

Talking of incestuous scenes:

I'm still impressed by the fact that some of the songs that ended up on De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas were written all the way back in 1988.
