New IPhone? What does icloud locked mean? I MIGHT BE BUYING THIS HELP!

CartertheCOCguy

ok, so this guy is selling this iphone 5c ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Iphone-5c-Tmobile-White-16GB-iCloud-Locked-/331156416733?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item4d1a75e8dd ) its the exact one that i want, but it is icloud locked.... can this dude fix it or is it a hoax? please help! i might be purchasing this

Probably means the phone is linked with his Icloud account, which means the only way to activate it would be to use the same account that the phone was registered with.

yea i know that i meant the icloud lock bro.....

TBH, it was probably stolen. Whatever activation lock (same as whatever iCloud lock is in place) is there is doing it's job well.

If its iCould locked to his account it either means he is too stupid to take his account off or his took it from someone lol.

'iCloud locked'

most likely because the 'find my iPhone' function is still enabled on the phone meaning that you need to have their iCloud password in order to sign onto the phone.

It's most likely stolen. you can't bypass that feature with iOS7

So even if the phone is wiped completely you will still need their iCloud credentials in order to use the phone. :)

I basically means it's stolen (because if it was legit it wouldn't be iCloud locked as they could unlock it), the iCloud locked feature is the single best feature of the iPhone IMO, but I wish they were more devalued because of it to really make it worthless to the scum stealing them.
