G.SKILL 64GB DDR3 2400MHz RAM Kit

NCIX: http://bit.ly/OGoyfI

Amazon: http://georiot.co/3Iek

G.SKILL memory was, at the beginning, very niche/high performance stuff at a very high price. Over the years they went from "only for extreme overclockers" to delivering great, stable mainstream RAM but they still haven't lost that niche appeal. This kit right here... Only validated on ONE board officially. So yeah, that's as niche as it gets, but that doesn't change the fact that WE think it's awesome!

and I thought Dominator ram was expensive..... and it is but like seriously? $850, i get it there is more expensive like Doms but at what point do you draw the line paying for premium high speed stuff?

It definitely has to a small market, first you need someone who needs/wants 64GB's of ram, then you need someone who needs/wants 2400MHz ram, then you need someone who has the money, I would think this is the part where most who "want" the ram can't afford it and only the people who need it can buy it and that market is small.

I wish I had bought 2011 systems instead of these 1155 based ones. 32GB just isnt enough for what I use them for. I suppose I can wait for DDR4 to become more popular.

Such a nice system, but so poopy colored fans. <_<

Here's an idea for a future video. Make a big fan comparison. I'm sure you must have seen the article that compared a few premium fans and they found out Noctua is among the worst of them.

G.Skill is quite a reliable brand though not having been around for very long.

64GBs is totally overkill lol

I love G.Skill memory, but this kit is $900  :o

Nice post count Linus ;)

It's really not that much, my 32gb kit of 1866 vengeance is 350$ on newegg, so times that by two and add more mhz, 900$ is pretty much not that bad

Stuff:  i7 7700k @ (dat nibba succ) | ASRock Z170M OC Formula | G.Skill TridentZ 3600 c16 | EKWB 1080 @ 2100 mhz  |  Acer X34 Predator | R4 | EVGA 1000 P2 | 1080mm Radiator Custom Loop | HD800 + Audio-GD NFB-11 | 850 Evo 1TB | 840 Pro 256GB | 3TB WD Blue | 2TB Barracuda

Yeah, I also saw 64GB Dominator Platinum for $900 or maybe $1000, but I think that I would go with some Dominator Platinums over this stuff. Just the name and looks of the stuff = Larger epeen than this lol

I think it was also 2400MHz

8 sticks of 2400mhz 1.65v RAM that is made to perform should cost about that. It's a pretty standard price per 2400mhz DIMM, ~$105 for 8GB. Like I said, made to perform meaning good stability together unlike many dual channel kits at 2400mhz (although this is mostly up to the CPU and motherboard itself).

No. Just no.

Spend less on RAM and more on a separate GPU / CPU.

Edit: That thumbnail, doe.. Pure swag fasho.

The TOP ram solution should cost less than the TOP CPU solution in consumer grade products I am just saying....

Also the ram kits should be less expensive than buying the modules seperatelly one by one... I am just saying

G.Skill is quite a reliable brand though not having been around for very long.

G.Skill was founded in 1989.. That is 25 years old.

Corsair was founded in 1994.

Mushkin was founded in 1994.

ADATA was founded in 2001.

OCZ was founded in 2002.

Micron was founded in 1978.

Kingston was founded in 1987.

I wouldn't exactly say that G.Skill hasn't been around for very long.

I completely agree that G.Skill is excellent quality memory. I have owned computer businesses and built 100's of computers. Gave up on so many other brands. I have never had a dead stick of G.Skill, never had a stick that wouldn't meet the speeds on the label. This company has become my go to for many years.
