Unmountable Boot Volume BSOD

iril

I have a problem with my old PC. It started acting strange after couple weeks, first it won't automatically boot into windows. I have to go to Safe Mode and wait about 30 mins - 2 hours and then restart my PC to get into windows. Now it won't even boot up on either Safe Mode or go to windows normally. It just flashed BSOD screen then restarting itself.

I have tried tighten every single cable in my PC and still it won't work.

Here's a link to Youtube video of the actual event.

Try going into BIOS and change the SATA mode so, when the default is "IDE" then change to "AHCI" and the otherway around.

Had the same problem ant this solved it.

Have you read this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315403?

"The normal recovery process in such a case is to run the chkdsk /r command from Recovery Console, and then continue. On OEM versions of Windows XP, the Recovery Console may not be accessible. If this fix has not been included in the OEM build of Windows XP, you may not be able to enter Recovery Console and run the chkdsk /r command for recovery."
