New here. Recommendations?

AcidElite

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum but not new to the LTT YT channel. I'm looking into getting a setup and would like some help choosing a low response time monitor that still has good image quality. Since I'm getting a PC later, it doesn't have to have insane hz because I play on Xbox One for the time being.

Response time is not really an issue, in terms of ms anything around 7-5 is great, and 60hz is good if your build will be ableto handle games at 60fps, but if it can handle higher, 144 or 120hz is better if you get around there in fps on games

Hello and Welcome to the Forum @AcidElite.

Where you looking for a tv/monitor that runs at 60hz? I doubt you need a 120hz/144hz monitor/tv for your console gaming.

Do you have a preference in the size like 17"-24"? at a resolution of 1920x1080p.

What is your budget?

Get a 5ms response time ips fast enough and looks way better

The response time spec is bull. Ignore it.

$200-400 preferably lower and between 24-27"

What kind of dollars are you using?

Ok thank you. Not to be critical, but don't you think I could get a better deal considering this monitor is $270?

Large displays tend to be expensive. That's about as cheap as it gets and I'm not sure how you're going to get around that.

I found one that I'd just like you to take a look at since they're both about the same price, and see if there are any major differences. http://bit.ly/1jdMZLl

Looks like a decent monitor but don't worry about response times too much. For a few extra bucks you could go for a 1440p monitor ;)

The Asus display is better since it's AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance IPS) with improved colour accuracy, increased resolution and PPI, and greater light transmission for lower power consumption.

Okay thanks for the help, I'll most likely go for the ASUS one.
