Razer products and packaging look really nice (most of the time), but I find the build quality a bit lacking. They just feel kind of flimsy to me. They're also very expensive for what you get. I think you pay for the name and looks.

never owned a razer product (not that i don't like them ive just always bought other things) but they seem to be good quality products but a little on the pricey side.

Hand can start sweating as well on other mice too after long use (especially long and/or intense gaming sessions). Never happened with my new cheap gaming mouse. It's just too slippery already right out of the box. :D

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

The Deathadder is my favoirte mouse. I would never go to another. I also own the Carcharias headset and it has been a dream come true. Most headsets fall apart on me, even expensive guys like steel series, but this headset has lasted the longest. I may find another headset one day, but for the Deathadder, there is no better mouse.

Like Ruostunut said, hands can sweat on any mice. However, the Deathadder is great for sweaty hands, because the Matt surface is absorbing it well, it doesn't look nice, but it doesn't bother the gaming experience. I have used mouses that had a different finish, and my hands were just sliding around on the mouse after 2 hours of CS.

Look really nice, build quality is hit and miss, I wouldn't buy them myself though.

My hand already slides on my mouse after few seconds of use. The lack of friction on my Attitude one Vintorez -mouse won't bother me, though. Wonder what would it be if my hands got sweaty while using that slippery mouse...

  • 6 months later...

razer-hd-61537.jpg

one thing i do not seem to understand is
why nearly everyone on the forum seems to be hating/disliking razer products?
for example

the razer 2014 keyboard
everyone just hates it? why? is it too expensive? copy past other cherry branded like duck shine 3?
AND
if everyone seems to hate razer products why i foud out that their products are the one who have more reviews and sold on amazon/newegg
am i missing something here? or everyone hates them and buys them at the same time?

corsair keyboards leds seems to be dead after a month or so on ALL their keyboards and no one seems to care
corsair headsets are just well crap

i like BOTH companies but reading the hate on the internet and on the forums made me change my mind on getting the new razer keyboards the 2014 edition
i personally never had a mechanical keyboard

so yeah what is your take on the hate on razer produts? agree/disagree or other opinion

Razer products are very often purchased by gamers because of its image and design, more so than its quality.

Personally I own a Razer mouse and could not be happier. I find their mouses to generally be pretty good, especially those such as the Mamba and Orochi.

The keyboards are a different story. I went through 4 Razer keyboards in quick succession before turning to Cooler Master (Trigger). I've never experienced so many problems with a specific brand in keyboards - I'm talking problems with a Blackwidow and a Lycosa. Twice each. The sheer cost of the Blackwidow compared to my CM Storm Trigger is ridiculous - the Trigger cost less, I have no problems with it and it generally feels as though it has a far better build quality.

That is just my take. I don't have anything against Razer particularly, I use a Razer mouse, but I am definitely not a fan of their keyboards. I find that a lot of the online reviews that are negative toward Razer keyboards are a high failure rate compared to most other brands (Ducky, CM, Filco, etc.)

It seems like some of their products just aren't the best, and they catch a lot of crap over it. And it seems like EVERTHING THEY MAKE IS GREEN. I don't want a green backlit keyboard with a red rig. Ew.

Forgot to add, my Razer Naga Epic is serving me well. I mean sure, its wireless and thus has all the issues and lag associated with that... but I love the build quality and lighting effects, it just feels like a very solid, professional piece of tech.

they are popular, that's why, people will hate on everything that is popular and people will hate the guys that buy it, they think it's inferior to x product that is not as popular and that annoys them, they are all a bunch of hipsters, now for the love of god please stop, we have had HEAPS and piles of these topics already, enough is enough.
