this exactly. with electric tools you never really know how much force they are putting on whatever you are working on which scares me, especially with delicate things like computer parts.

yeah but what if you have large quantities of electronics to dismantle and assemble? you're hand would fall apart - i already developed some wrist pain unscrewing thousands of screws, plus i want to decrease the time consumption carrying out such tasks

all electronics like laptops, consoles, toys etc... are actually assembled using those sorts of screw drivers, thats why they have torque/speed settings

Just like how some factory worker cross-threaded a T5 screw that held the backplate of a "premium" laptop that could not be removed(Thanks HP).

Ok, then that makes sense as you didn't include that fact that you do this on a daily basis. From the original post, I thought you were asking about which electric driver would put the least amount of stress on your wrists. Just like how you don't see a lot of car mechanics use a break bar for every lug nut on your car, they use either an electric or pneumatic impact gun.

I would most likely get one of those electric drivers due to the fact that you do this on a daily basis just to try and make my job easier.

For not wanting to cause more wrist sprain, I'd look into something like we use here for dashboards and other smaller components, ECM mounting, light work. You can set the torque down as low as 4 inch pounds. If you're not American, that's roughly 1/2 N/M

Booth of those looks very awkward.

Try to look for something that shaped more like a handle. And use your other hand to guide it.

Also do you know that these sort of screw drivers are operated with a hanging assembly? that's why they're so easy to work with, you don't really hold them, just pull, then let go...

That said, the top pic looks awful, the 2nd pic slightly less so...

yeah they kinda look like toys but theyre functional - also does it really make any difference if those screwdrivers where hanging from a spring? i mean i can buy a spring and hang them but not necessary

check this video - it looks great and easy better than manually screwing and unscrewing all day

Yeah it makes it a lot easier because you don't have to hold the weight all the time, it's much more practical too (and faster)

And yes they do, I guess it's a cost factor too? The ones we've been using at work where like 80 bucks or so and where really solid, those look a bit flimsy is all.

I think someone said get something that shaped liked a gun or shaped like a drill. That's what I meant. I think you said something about wrist strain. So something that shaped like a gun would be very very ergonomic.

Second one with some thing that's quite big, you obviously gonna loose accuracy. So I suggest using the other hand do guide the screw bit, so you don't end up damaging the component that you're trying to fix.

image.png.b8c942dd9a5cb687e50d46409488957a.pngNo, I wouldn't buy one of those, too thick, hard to keep in hand.

Also, you'd want one with adjustable torque and in gun shape or option to adjust handle .

ideally, you'd get something like this: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/weidmüller/9007440000/3926069

Not necessarily this exact model, as it's expensive at around $250 ... but there's similar models from other companies with about the same features at cheaper price.
